A couple of Thrifty questions

We are arriving at MCO on Sunday :Pinkbounc and have a reservation at Thrifty. The plan is for dh to go and pick up the car while the rest of us get the luggage. We're not really familiar with MCO so I'm not sure where he is supposed to get the shuttle. Anyone point me in the right direction?

Also, once he has the car, is it easy to get back to the airport? My husband tends to make up his own "shortcuts" that inevitably get him lost. If anyone has directions that would be great, and where would be the best place for us to meet up?

Finally, can anyone estimate how long this whole process will take?

Sorry for all the questions! I just can't believe how much I have to do in the next 3 days!!!! Thanks everyone!

To get to the shuttles for the off site car rentals, you do go through the bagage claim area and you go downstairs. Thrifty is only about a 10 minute drive away. All surface streets too. I really don't think you'd be saving much, if any, time by doing this as they seem to be really quick witht he baggage at MCO.

I am interested in this thread also. We are flying to MCO and renting with thrifty on Saturday.

Thrifty is right outside of the North Entrance to the airport. Just drive back through the North Exit and make sure to go to the correct terminal (either A or B). There will be plenty of signs.
We have used Thrifty several times and have had good experiences, with the exception of one insurance-pushing agent. Their shuttles are usually waiting right at the pick-up area...once we didn't see one, but it pulled up before I could even get out my cell phone to call.

We just rented from Thrifty, and everything went very well. There were 7 of us and we all went together to get the rental. We only waited about 5 minutes for the transport van to pick us up. Once we got to the Thrifty site, DH and I went to the counter while the others waited outside the doors with the luggage. It took about 20 minutes for us to get the keys to a brand new Grand Caravan (7 miles on it!). They drove the van right up to the luggage, helped us with directions to our hotel, and we were on our way! Very easy!

Thanks for the input everyone. Maybe we will all go together since it sounds so easy. I have so much to do before Sunday though!!! I'll be sure to post my experience with Thrifty when I get back.
