Hi everyone!

I have to share this with you all, in hopes that this has happened to several of you...
I am a relatively new listener to the show. I started by listening to past podcasts starting with the first show in January 2011 to present and have now recently started from the very beginning. It is rather bittersweet because I realize that Bob passed away. Having never known Bob when he was alive, is what makes the past shows (for me) quite sad. I am still, however, laughing hysterically at the jokes (while getting dirty looks at work :rotfl:) I am trying to catch up on all of the episodes at work.
Anyways on to my story.

I had a dream the other night about the podcast team, including Bob's cart cam. It looked like there was a big podcast meet at the Fantasmic theater. All I can remember was seeing Bob's Cart Cam and John.
This morning all I could think was, " You know you are a podcast junkie when... (fill in the blank)"
Anyone else relate? :goodvibes

Next on my list, is a question! I will be making a visit to central Florida April 26-30 for a job fair, in hopes of landing a teaching job in the area!
Would anyone be up for a meet in the parks? (lunch, dinner, or a ride meet) After listening to so many episodes, and hearing about all of the podcast meets, I would like to be involved in the family too. :)
Thanks for any input!

I haven't had dreams about the podcast. My only weird dreams were related to the now defunct Virtual Magic Kingdom. :rotfl2:

My next trip isn't until May, so there's no meets for me.

Well first of all WELCOME!!! :goodvibes

Oh yes, many many of us have been there!! Dream, nightmares and thoughts of the team members reactions to things at odd times lol. I believe one of us gals even had the show on while getting a "girlie" exam and said something out loud in response to what she was listening too... it was funny but I dont remember the details. So yes, addiction runs high here, so you are already fitting in :rotfl:

I don't know anything about living in FL, but I am sure others will be on...

I found the podcast about 2 1/2 years ago and quickly went back and caught up on the old episodes.

What I remember about that time is my wife was blown away with my newfound enthusiasm for yard work. Actually, I was addicted to the podcast and that was the only time I could listen! :lmao: Once I caught up, my green thumb was gone.

Oh yes, I've had a dream too. I wrote in with mine and John read it on the air.

Mine was that John and Kevin were out to dinner and John accepted the challenge to eat the "Old 96-er" (a 96 oz steak that John Candy eats in the movie The Great Outdoors).

Welcome to the Podcast junkies. I have bee an addict for years and gave up long ago trying to figure out why I feel like the podcast team is almost part of my family. It's really strange to feel so close to people that I've only met a couple of times (briefly) and listen to weekly. I credit the team for creating that feeling in many of us; by being themselves on air it feels as if I'm sitting right there with them.

I hope someone is able to meet up with you, we won't be back down until fall.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I love listening to the show. I feel like I'm one of the gang. :goodvibes

No, I listened when Bob was still around. I remember reading that he'd died on the DIS and being shocked. At first, I wondered if it was wrong.

I liked Bob even before I could put names to the voices.

And I loved cart cam. They once posted a video of a fast-forward from MGM to somewhere...the Boardwalk, maybe, I dunno...and I actually lol while watching it. There was nothing particularly funny that i remember; I just got a huge kick out of it. That was pre-podcast, I think, but I wonder if it was a cart cam. I miss CartCam.

I miss Bob on the podcast. Other people can step in and even be wonderful, but Bob was uniquely endearing and cannot be replaced.
