A couple of questions regarding GF & Poly

We just got back from GF with our almost 3 year old twin boys. We actually loved that there were kids everywhere. It's not stuffy at all. In fact, there are extra little girls in princess dresses everywhere, which our boys loved! The pools were all awesome. Enjoy!

The GF pool does have a server that walks around the pool taking orders (and delivering them to you). In my estimate, the best beds on property are at the GF. It's a lot quieter and the food service at the GF doesn't seem as chaotic due to a bigger area (note, mid-July last year I waited in line for 20 minutes to place an order for a burger in the fast food area there. It was REALLY overcrowded in the little space. Of course there is outdoor seating, but mid-summer, it's not too much fun when you want to escape the heat).

If going mid-summer, the GF will be busy, but the main area is more spread out than the Poly. The Poly's pool takes up a large area.

This is from the 2nd floor of Sugar Loaf (facing monorail). One image was taken from the monorail. Our room was just to the left of the yacht that is almost always (I have never seen it cruising around the lake). I loved the placement of the building. It was so quiet and close to the pool, main building (especially GG QS) and close to the buses. I would stay there again any day.

I have not stayed at Poly so I can't answer on that end. But GF is wonderful! For some reason my DH loves the QS Gasparillas. It's simple, clean, and has good choices and feels calm with indoor and outdoor seating and healthy options like build your own salads. GF has 3 pools that we enjoyed all of. The quiet pool is quite large with a zero entry with little fountains, fun for the littles, our 5 year old twins made a number of friends there. The other 2 are close together with the pool bar in between and are busier due to one being practically a playground in water and the other having a fun slide, but not crowded. We absolutely loved the beds at GF, in fact so much so I called the housekeeping for the sheets and pillow brand maker and we now have GF bedding in our home! Also our room was a king bed with pull out sofa and they brought us bed rails and the kids got great sleep while there. Pool bar was fine in regards to food. Drinks were great and service was at your lounge chair side which was very convenient while with kids.
My MIL and SIL have both stayed at both locations and they prefer GF so much so my SIL did GF for her honeymoon and MIL is booked at GF this coming fall again.
I enjoyed visiting Poly and eating at Ohana (one of my faves) but even with its warm tropical feel its a bit too dark for me. GF was open and bright and the smell of the lobby is intoxicating in a good way. The kids got a kick out of the pianist playing their requests. Hope this helps.
We stayed in Big Pine Key on the fourth floor with views of the castle, wathing the ELWP and Wishes every night. Nothing else quite like it.
