A couple of questions about Magic Express

Am I right in thinking they post out some form or tags that you need in order to board the coach?

And if so, is it a biggie if you don't have these? Will they still have a record of you there at the airport? Last time we went, I'm sure we had the forms/tags.

But this year I have a feeling they will be going to my friend who booked us' address. Which is in Florida already!??

No, I don't think they post anything to the UK so you wont get any tags for your bags but you wont need them anyway.

Whenever we have used ME we just collected our own bags from the luggage carousel then checked in at the ME desk.

They will have your information there if you have pre-booked.

No tags are posted out to the UK anymore since 2009. You can either collect your own bags, or simply present the luggage tag bar codes to the ME desk if you want then to collect and deliver the bags. They will still do this for you, you just don't get the tags.

I find it quicker and easier to collect our own

Thanks guys!! Okay, so yes I think everything is going to my CM friends address in Florida awkwardly as he booked it.

So I don't think I'll even have forms with a bar code on, but we're happy enough to pick up our own luggage and head over to the DME area.... But then we'll have nothing except the name on our booking. Will that work for them? Just giving our name I mean?

The barcodes Lee was referring to are the airline issued baggage receipts.

There is no worry with turning up with just your name - its totally OK as they will print your tickets for you. Name & resort is all you need
