What are the hours of HHN? I have a dinner planned that night at Ohana for 5pm, then we were thinking of taking a cab over there from the Poly. I'm wondering how much that would cost roughly?
Also, is the Express pass necessary if I am going to the Wed, Oct 28 event?
Thank you for your help!
In order to really enjoy yourself, you would need to get in the line around 5pm so you won't spend the evening outside waiting for admittance. There would be no way for you to arrive before 7:30 or 8pm with traffic and crowds and HHN closes at midnight that night. I would either try to reschedule dinner or go to HHN on a night when you can arrive as the park is closing to keep the wait to a minimum. Express passes are always a good thing to have and even though 10/28 is a non-peak night, the lines can still be long. On 10/28 the Express passes are only $19.99 so it be worth it to purchase for that night. What are the hours of HHN? I think HHN is definately worth it! You just have to plan your time for an evening event. You shouldn't have any problems finding a cab back...lots of people are leaving at the same time and the cabbies are eagerly waiting. I would guess $100 round trip would be about right...just a guess though.Thank you for the replies. What to do what to do. DH and I are staying at WL with my two small kids and mom who will be the babysitter that night. Should we just take a cab at 4pm to Universal. And will we have problems finding a cab back to WL, do you think? I'm sure we are looking at $100 for transportation total, right?
Is this worth it, or should we just do something around WDW? It's our anniversary.
Thanks!

The gates are not opened until 6:30pm but the line starts forming as soon as the park closes at 5pm...that's why you want to be there as early as possible. You can buy tickets online but you would definately NOT want to have to buy tickets once there...that will delay you even more. Express passes are date specific so make sure you are going that night and purchase it ahead of time...a few days ahead should be fine. HHN is only staged in the Studios so you would not be allowed into IOA at all. The Simpsons should be open for HHN...I think it was last year. Oh and your Express would also include the attractions that are open along with the houses.Okay, I think you have talked me into it. I definitely want to get a front of the line pass if we go. I think we'll plan to leave WL at 4pm, so we'll have from 5-12 (do they let you in at 5pm?)
How soon should I buy tickets? I would like to wait until the last possible moment. I figure if they sell out they are probably so crowded I wouldn't want to go that night anyway. FOL pass is a must, though, to get in advance I hear.
Does a ticket entitle you to go to IOA and Universal or is just Universal open? Does the party encompass both parks? Will the Simpsons ride be open?
Thanks!!!!
The lines for the attractions vary...I think Revenge of the Mummy and Rockit are going to be the longest throughout the night so just be prepared. I don't know of anything at CityWalk...usually HHN is confined to the Studios other than a few shops that might carry HHN stuff.Thank you! Are the lines for the attractions very long? Also, is there anything special going on at City Walk the nights of HHN?
You are very helpful!
You have to have a separate ticket for HHN...Express passes are extra and optional. Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday are considered off peak and are cheaper than Friday and Saturday. Is purchase of the HHN Express ticket limit you to entrance only from 6:30 until closing, that is how I am reading it, or do you have to also have a general admission ticket with it?
All these different categories confuse me and they don't really offer a good explanation with them. The 1 Park/1Day combo with HHN ticket sounds good, but would it be less costly to have the tickets for entrance to HHN??
It also looks like Wed night is a little cheaper than others, am I right. This is what I got from looking at the US site.
