A couple of FairFX questions....

1) Can you set up a FairFX card wth your Key to the World card?

2) Which cash machines dont charge for cash withdrawls? (I know about the $2 charge from FairFX, but am looking to avoid additional ATM charges)

3) How does the sms balance service work? Is there a charge for this?

all atms charge the fee if you use the fairfx card.

I havent done the sms so not sure but i think it says on the website its a normal charge from your provider

I wouldnt use the fairfx card to put on the KTTW card as it may leave a shadow on the card and then you wont be able to use that amount.

We put cash on our kttw and then use the fairfx for anything else

I thought you had to add a credit card (I guess Fairfx would work too, but as you say they could authorise more than you want to spend) to your KTTW for charging even if you're paying it off with cash/TCs, or can you put down the cash beforehand?

no we dont have a credit card so just leave cash say $300 or travellers cheques, never had a problem with it before.

This way we cant over spend on the kttw card

Im aware i'll have to pay the $2 to FairFX, I was meaning charges imposed by the ATM company/bank. I remember someone mentioning Publix ATM's but I cound be wrong

Can you put money on a KTTW? I've never heard of or been offered this?

we have been about 6 times now and dont have a credit card so just say to the check in desk we want charging facilities so will put cash down and they saw how much

We then have up to whatever we put down to spend on the card, one year we got half of it back

I called and spoke with disney about 7 years ago about this as we dont have a credit card and didnt want to get one just because of a holiday

Never had any problems doing it and will do it this year as well.

ive always just attached my bank card debit to the KTTW., Not had any problems there,then they just charge it or give you option to settle in cash

Just to say we used our Fairfx card as our key card at reception last yr at POFQ no problem at all i also used my Thomas Cook Travel card in the same way. We just checked the balance every few days at reception to see how we were spending.

This was fab as we don't have availability of a Credit Card

You dont have to put CC on your room. Personally we never do as we always like to have our CC with us and not have the mischance that Disney rack up over $2,000 for the room like whem MIL stayed and she paid with TA before going. yes they got it back but the thought people leave keys around with credit on .Even if you do rember its everyone in room unles you tell them to do it to one card.just be careful if you have kids going to arcade if you haven't

I'm at POFQ now and we put money on our room so we can charge, just gave them cash and had no problems with it

Havent even got the fairfx card out yet as no need to pay for anything as we have the dining plan
