Sorry if I ask too many questions, just trying to figure everything out.

Has anyone gotten married at Sunset Pointe at the Poly? I'd love to see pictures. I'm thinking about a 10am and having the reception at 11am and then everyone can leave.

Also, if they list that a location only has room for 10 does that include the bridal party and bride and groom? It looks like we'll be a party of 12-14 (including bride, groom, honor attendant and best man)

Sunset Pointe was our first choice! However the Poly was being re-habbed and there was a chance we would not be staying there. For some reason I wanted to be staying at the same resort we were getting married at so we moved to Sea Breeze Point.

Some of the restrictions at Sunset Pointe have changed. One of them is the time of year...you can only get married at Sunset Pointe from October through March. And yes the guest limit of 10 INCLUDES the bride and groom. Because of the guest restriction, it's really only available for Escape ceremonies.

hrmm...I had planned on an escape wedding, but hoping for May, so I guess my first choice is now gone. My 2nd choice is a CL wedding. My last choice would be Wedding Pavilion (i just don't like the way the carpet looks)

How many weddings do they do per cruise. I have a cruise in mind that's more then a year away, and was wondering. My DF decided to ask me after I started my freakout about not getting Sunset Pointe.

I'm sorry I don't know much about the cruise weddings...but I would guess they could do at least two each day. Hopefully someone with more knowledge of the DCL weddings can answer your question.

You can do a beach wedding on the beach of the wedding pavilion. It is the same price as booking the paviolion, then that is your rain back up location. I wish I would have known this option when we married as I really wanted a beach wedding. Since we were using DVC to put us and our guests up, the cruise was too much to pay for everyone, so we went with the Yacht Club Gazebo and I loved it !

They do one Castaway Cay wedding per cruise and up to two onboard weddings.

I know Sunrise Tarrance also has a 10 limit, and I know I don't want Sea Breeze Point, not a fan of the Boardwalk (sorry all Boardwalk lovers) I may look into Yacht Club Gazebo. (I'm sorry, I'm picky, but I know I'm only getting married once,

I'll have to look into the Beach wedding at the wedding pavilion. That might be a good backup.

Alright, I'm hoping for a Castaway Cay wedding and have 2 dates and 2 back up dates planned (I'm hoping for a 3 night, don't know if I can spend 4 nights with my FMIL)


I may get to start a planning journal soon. Now, that I've almost fully made up my mind, just have to sit my dad down and discuss cost and guest list. I don't think May 2010 could get here soon enough.
