A Couple Goes to Disney - Ideas Please!

Its our first trip together (Ive been to Disney loads he hasn't) and were going just after you on the 26th Oct - 9th Nov. Im 28 and he's 30 but neither of us can wait. Its his birthday while we're over there too so trying to come up with things to do to celebrate.

Be sure to get your birthday buttons and wear them to the parks and to the Adventurer's Club in DD. You meet a lot of nice people that way.

Ive already told him he's having one from every park whether he likes it or not! Gonna get a 1st trip to Disney one for him too as hes never been before.

US and IOA SUCK! We went twice and we'll NEVER go back! The lines are long and unless you pay an additional $25 you're going to be waiting in line forever. the parks aren't as big or as clean, the food is more expensive and it's nearly a mile walk from the parking area to the gate (no trams or shuttle service) Furthermore, their staffs (CM at the WDW) aren't the friendliest people and we've heard on several occasions from US/IOA staff that if "you want service, go to Disney." The parks are small and there isn't even a back lot tour at US. Overall, for the money it cost ($105, per person, for a 2 park 2 day pass plus an additional $100 so we could actually ride instead of waiting in line) No thanks. It's a serious waste of $$, but it would teach your DH the value of Disney! (worked for mine!!)
Sorry to say, dont agree with any of the above! In fact, we've found in recent years the staff at USF to be just as friendly as Disney, and usually less of a jobs worth! And as for the cost, you can manipulate figures any way you want, but Universal more expensive than Disney? No way!
We're hoping to be child free for a few nights this summer, so fully intend to head off to Universal and IOA, as we've found them far more adult orientated on the whole than Disney (dont get me wrong, we love both!) But will hopefully try some of the lovely suggestions put in this thread too!!!! Cant wait!

My wife and I are turning 30 in august so we are going to be celebrating in Early September in Disney. When it comes to Disney you really can't go wrong, there's to much to do. We plan on using half the day for parks and the other half for romance. Our goal is to have a drink at every country in epcot by the time we leave(it's important to have goals) but other than that we want to have some fun meet some people and relax.

Magically Yours,
Earl
