A couple Blue Bayou questions

So we are a couple weeks away (!) from going from our first ever trip to DL. I currently have a reservation made for Blue Bayou on a Sunday night, but I may need to move this to Monday night. My question is - the park is only open til 8 PM on Monday. What would be the latest seating that night at BB? My main thing is, we want to maximize our time at the park, so if we did dinner at 6:30, by the time we got out of there, it would be about closing time.

Has anyone done a reservation at BB close to the park closing. If so, did you find you were rushed? (We ate at Restaurant Marrakesh at Epcot once with a late ADR, and they were practically bringing us our dessert before we had finished our entrees!)

Also.. I've heard BB shares a kitchen with Cafe Orleans. I'm curious to try those Mickey Beignets, but I dunno if we'll be eating at Cafe Orleans. Anyone try ordering those at BB?

I would call Disney dining and ask about that. They will tell you the latest reserved seating time for that day and maybe give you some idea of how likely you'll have to wait or whether or not you'd feel rushed.

If eating at BB is the last thing you want to do in DL, it would probably be fine. I don't think they can just kick you out of the restaurant if you're still eating. However, I agree with you that it would be a very uncomfortable feeling to have the servers and clean-up crew hovering over you. If it were me, I'd opt for the earliest dining time (4:00?) and give myself some breathing space.

As far as I know, you can't get beignets at BB but that's an interesting question. You CAN get them at Jazz Kitchen take-out so you could always ride over on the monorail and try them
