A Confession - Online ADRs

If anyone will understand - you will. Maybe.

We are not planning to go to WDW this summer. Damned financial responsibility.

So...there would be no logical reason why I should be looking at dining availabilty. None whatsoever.

So why did I get up early this morning and spend about an hour of my precious weekend just to see if some (lots) of the reservations I want for next summer are available for this summer? Why?

I finally switched off when I found myself getting really mad that I couldn't find the Chef Mickey res that I wanted at the time which wasn't too late for my family!

I am usually quite normal!!! Honestly.

BTW No dining reservations were harmed in the making of this programme. I would never never never book something I didn't need.

I made all my adrs last week, got all the adrs on the days and times i wanted but i've still been playing with the online system looking at adrs. Not sure why!

You just needed to know how the system works, so that when you do go on it to book yours for real you have a thorough understanding as to what needs to be done.
I would start to worry when you ring the US and ask them about this years ADRs to give you an idea about next years.

I have been doing a similar thing. We are going the summer and I made all my ADR's at my 90+10 mark. But I have been playing with the online system just to see if the restaurants I have choosen are busy or not. I have been looking to see if there are still reservations available at the restaurants we are eating at for when we are eating there. Seen as we are there the 1st week of the US free dining I am quite surprised that there seems to still be quite a bit of availability at some places.

Ive booked all my ressies for my Sept trip already over the phone, but I still keep playing with online ADRs! Im suprised how many vacancies for Cindys im finding, especialy since its free dining time!

Perfectly normal behaviour! I have been doing the same to familiarise myself with the system, we don't fly till January but it's important to know how these things work

I booked mine over the phone, but wanted to add some on line. Can someone give me an idiots guide of how to do this, even just to browse. BTW I think your simply advanced & think how much easier it will be for you next year having had a trial run.

I think because it is new we all have been doing it

have to know how it works

I have ADRs for most of our days now
usual I'd only book for about half of our trip

Its easy to use (at least the looking part is).

Go into the disney website and click Visit US site.
Look under dining reservations and try out some times.

Isn't it fun when you find a hard to get one?! Its like collecting trading cards...or playing bingo! I am off work next week so will be able to look at lot!!!! (Still haven't found that hypothetical Chef Mickey's res)

Although I reckon it will be very very serious when I start looking for real. Piles of paper and various pens will be gathered. Silence will be required throughout the house. (My husband once made a noise when I was booking Paris dining over the phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

YES!!! I got Cindys breakfast for 9 O'clock in 2 weeks time!!!!!!!! (Shame I'm not going for another 13!!!
