I have always loved all things Disney and that includes the food. Even though I don't work in the parks or resorts themselves, I am at Disney often enough to sample the different places. I keep "track" of them in a little notebook that I have so I can remember my most memorable and not-so-memorable places. So I thought that I would start to share some here from time to time.
The "cast" will change sometimes but I'll always be there, LOL
First review is for the PLAZA RESTAURANT which I did today with a friend. (We'll call her Nikki)
For whatever reason, whenever I go to the parks, I get hungry in a hurry. Wonder why that is?! We had lunch reservations right at 11am and the only good experience here was being seated within five minutes.
Where we were seated was probably at the worst location. We were a party of 2 and got seated in the small room with the windows. Nice view outside, possibly for Wishes even, but it is CRAMPED in this room. If at all possible, request to sit in the main dining area. Our table was at a weird angle and within minutes, we were squished between a loud American family that liked to complain about the DDP and a larger Japanese family that insisted on placing a high chair that they did not even bother to use right up against our table. Plus this one Japanese girl wouldn't keep still and kept running into our table. I know Japanese and the parents wouldn't tell her to sit down. She ended up knocking our dish of condiments on the floor but that's another story....
Our waitress looked like she wanted to be anywhere but where she was. She had zero personality and never once smiled. We were her first table of the day but maybe something happened before the place opened, I don't know....
My friend Nikki ordered the Reuben Sandwich and I ordered a Cheeseburger with grilled onions and mushrooms. The food arrived promptly but for the price we paid, there wasn't a lot of food on the plate. We only had eight french fries on it..... which isn't a lot. My cheeseburger was good but Nikki said the ham on her Reuben was undercooked but rather than bug our most "friendly" waitress, she just added a little thousand island dressing and said it helped slightly.
Needless to say, we were anxious for the check so we could get the heck out of there.
Next review which is better.... SCI-FI!
