So I was perusing some adult education classes in Bergen County, NJ and came across this at the Ramsey Adult School:

DISNEY WORLD Do It right [850006]

Unofficial Parent's Survival Guide: Discover the secrets of planning a magical family vacation at Walt Disney World. This class is full of practical advice and valuable tips on everything you need to know before you go. Topics include when to go, saving time and money, avoiding crowds, character dining, navigating the theme parks and much more. Parents learn step-by-step how to plan and carry out a realistic do-able day at the happiest place on Earth. Don't make the mistake many parents do of not being prepared and therefore becoming overwhelmed by the expanse of Disney World. You can make all your child's expectations and dreams come true by taking the time to become informed before you arrive at this most special place.

Tuesday, 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM; 1 session on October 5, 2004
Cost_ $20, Materials Fee_ $2 - Available Discounts
Instructor: Pisaturo_ Location: Ramsey - Eric Smith Middle School

Heck, $22/person for info that you can probably find here on the DISboards. Maybe I should start my own class!:Pinkbounc

Very funny...I grew up in Ramsey...went to the Smith middle school too. I bet any one of us could teach that class....LOL

I believe the instructor is Sue Pisaturo, mentioned frequently on Mousesavers.com. Sue also contributed a section to the '05 Unofficial Guide. She's taught the class several times, I think.

This is a really good idea. So many people go to WDW for the first time totally unprepared. It can be very overwhelming, even when they think they've done their research.

Ramsey is just ten minutes from me, but I think I'm okay after all these years.

The DIS is probably just as good, though, and I usually give friends and family who are going for the first time a copy of the Birnbaum book.
