A Christmas Fantasy parade at 5:30pm

I was wondering if anybody has viewed the Christmas Fantasy parade at the 5:30pm showing in year's past. The sun usually sets at about 4:30 or so around this time and I was wondering if they light the floats or not? If they don't, how difficult is it to see the floats? If they don't light the floats, would this make a more compelling reason to watch the parade on Main St so that you have some lights from the buildings?

We have watched the parade from a few different spots on Main Street, as well as in front of IASW.....always after sunset. I believe the entire parade route is well lit. Its very easy to see (unless someone is standing right in front of you, of course), and I actually prefer the way it looks at night!

Sorry for the stupid question but what is IASW?

Any tips on watching the parade on Main St? One side better than the other? Sit closer to the Castle or closer to the front entrance?

I don't think one "side" is better than any other. And the parade doesn't stop so it really doesn't matter a whole lot where on the parade route you are. We usually watch by IASW, or if on Main Street either near Carnation Cafe or by the Kodak photo store.
