This is a "Christmas day cruise" question

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We have booked a 4 day cruise for this Christmas on the Wonder.

My question is:

Several people have noted how much money they have saved by cruising on other lines (RCCL for example). And many of them actually prefer the other cruise lines. We though it would be so special to wake up Christmas morning on DCL and with Mickey (we don't have kids-we are kids )

Are other cruise lines a great place to wake up to on Christmas day?

Will we miss Mickey?

Why would you want to sail another line at Christmas if you're looking forward to seeing Mickey then?

Good question :flower: .

I guess I thought it might be fun to try another cruise line. I wasn't sure if the other cruise lines did Christmas like DCL with the decorations and all.
I have never read anything about other cruisers doing something other than DCL for Christmas day. Maybe I need to expand my horizons and do some research. Visit another website BB :scared: :scared:

It is so hard when :disrocks:

We've booked a 5 day cruise on RCCL Sov of Seas. I looked at DCL for Christmas week. I just can't justify an additional $1000 per person for 2 extra days.

My thought is, as long as I can smell the sea air on Christmas day, I'll be absolutely thrilled.

I wasn't REALLY looking for a cruise for Christmas 2003, but found such a great last minute deal on Carnival that we couldn't pass it up, and as a bonus we were able to use frequent flyer miles for our fare to/from San Juan. Disney certainly is better, IMHO, but if my choices are 1) a cheap non-Disney cruise or 2) no cruise at all, I'll take the cruise.
