The smoking thing would have bugged me too - I will never understand it and then to leave you for 20 minutes - ugh! Looks like you enjoyed yourselves anyway.

I am just beginning my photopass edit - ugh! Good thing I got them to extend me to the 60 and the CM decided to credit me a CD so I don't have to download them all when I am done if I don't want to since it will be a pain! YAY!

This is one of the additional happy perks of my mom quitting smoking - no more smoke breaks every 5 minutes while we are at Disney! It gets so old for the non-smokers so quickly, I feel for you.

I hate the dilly dallying in the mornings - it never fails - when we actually get to MK in time for the opening show as soon as we walk in at least one person has to go to the bathroom. MK is the only place I'm still fanatical about rope drop - it just makes such a difference, especially since we still spend most of our time in Fantasyland. I try to limit my commando touring to just the first couple of hours at MK though

Cute pictures from TL. I've never been to any of the water parks and probably never will (just not a water park or pool person at all) so it's nice to see pictures.

Grrrrr, on having to wait. I had some of those issues when I was herding family members back in February.

I was so bummed that the Lands End swim suits didn't work for me. I was right in between two sizes this summer. I've lost some weight since then so maybe if I'm good over the winter and keep it off I can try again. Although I'm not really sure why I'm thinking of buying one since I dont' anticipate using it much.

Awwww....GREAT waterpark photos! We spent some time at BB for our trip recently, but of course no real photos since we weren't carrying phones with us. I love the Magic shot!

Yah - we could have carried our phones with us, we did have those waterproof cases from Eddie Bauer - but our reception throughout the parks was just horrible this trip - the only place we had decent reception was at our resort. So, we just opted to leave them in the lockers and let them drain themselves of battery power while searching for a signal.

Yah - I wasn't happy about that. I tried so hard to be less irritated, but it just didn't go well for me.

I can't remember why she needed new water shoes - I think it was because she didn't have any? I honestly don't remember.

For MM: I hit the "Download all" button - and it put all of my pics into 68 separate zip folders to download (I had 2504 pics total)... It took me about 3 hours to get all of them downloaded - but I only did one folder at a time. I had heard that people were having issues - I didn't have any, but I suspect it's because people were trying to download all of their zipped folders at once, rather than doing them one at a time like I did. I know it's a pain in the patooksi, but I didn't have any problems this way.

Yes - I ask every PP photographer if they have any magic shots. The Sebastian one was a nice surprise - I'd never seen him before anywhere.

As an ex-smoker myself, I like to think I am tolerant of it, but I am not - at least not in Disney. Other places, it doesn't bother me at all, honest - I usually like to take the time that others take to smoke, and I will rest... but in Disney - that's a waste of the precious little time I get in my happy place.

Congratulations to your mom for quitting smoking.

I think I am fanatical about rope drop in each park - it makes a difference in all of them. But after the first hour or two - I am way less pushy about what we need to accomplish. I just like to get as much done as I can in those first hours.

I'd try again. I am wearing a consistant 10-12 right now in sizes, and I ordered a size 8 swimsuit for next summer - to be quite honest - I can wear it comfortably now... Ideally - I am sure it will look much better when I am an actual size 8 - LOL - but at least I know it won't look terrible on me next summer.

I had a nice day yesterday...

I did my heavy lifting in the morning.

Then I had to run V's Gym clothes into town - she forgot them - and I was not happy.

I came home and went straight to work in my sewing room. This custom order is looking great! I also started on an auction order for a custom bag slot I auctioned right before our trip - so I am working on that bag on the sidelines. I am really excited about that one - I wasn't excited at first, but now that I see it coming together - I am liking it better and better.

I am hoping to have some big news to announce this weekend or next week. Sadly - it's not Disney or sewing related. But it is interesting, and probably worth stalking my TR for. At least to me... LOL

Today, the plan is...

Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred, Level 3 as soon as the girls get on the bus.

Then it's work, work, work... All day long. I'd love to make a nice dent in both bags I am working on.

This is the first day this week that I can work uninterrupted with out a trip to town somewhere in the middle.

It is hard to travel to WDW with people who have different travel styles. Our family always went alone until the kids were old enough to have significant others coming along on the trips. Then my sisters started joining us and it became very "interesting" to have to wait for people instead of doing our regular commando type of touring. All of these non-family members thought we were nuts.

Great update. We had issues with getting in to TL as well. I had used DD2 magic band, got in okay, then DD2 could not get in using mine. I think DD1 had an issue as well. They had to take our bands away while we waited. The weird thing is the TL tickets are still showing up in the MDE app, so I need to figure out if they are counted as unused or not?


I hated waiting during smoke breaks on prior trips. I remember taking the girls and going to swiss family robinson while the people we were with took a smoke break, and not letting the girls know that was why they were not with us.

My mom is still smoking the e-cigarettes, and she only quit because of her stroke - but after 30+ years of smoking, I'll take it!

That whole different style of touring thing with large groups of people is why I call our big family trips "Herding Cats Trips" chances are with, say 5 people, you'll have 6 different directions, at least. My family tends to need some space and has no problem splitting up. Cale's family...not so much.

I haven't been in my sewing room since I got back, but I have plans for Christmas gifts & now that football season has started, I can generally plan for Sundays to sew. Not that I don't like football, it just fairly easy to follow from another room when your husband is quite vocal about the good and the bad.

Can't wait to hear the news (good hopefully)

Glad V's back is feeling better. After you mentioned how heavy V's backpack was,the next morning my daughter looked like a bag lady. One very heavy backpack, one very large (overstuffed) volleyball bag and a small cooler of water bottles. I was worried she would be out of commission for a back problem.

Yes he is a very cute dead weight!!! One of Jeremy's best friends mom absolutely loves him!!! Her DH keeps trying to talk her into having another baby but her response is "Why I have Baby Jeffrey to love!!!" lol He's started emailing and texting me to keep her away from him!!!! It's hilarious because when our boys were in kindergarten he texted her one day saying his school wife (me) helped make sure he knew what was happening when it was time to drop supplies off to the class room for a class party!!! We're both sad that this year our boys aren't in the same class but we do everything we can to make sure we keep in touch with each other and we're planning on having coffee a couple times a month on a Friday right after I drop James off at preschool. (She's off Tuesday's and Friday's so Tuesday's are her errand days and Friday's are her days to finish up whatever else she needs to do plus see me and baby Jeffrey without the older kids begging for our attention).

I totally understand... And if she would have only took 5 minutes - it would have been a different story... but I watched her walk away s.l.o.w.l.y. and watched her walk back s.l.o.w.l.y. - that was probably the most irritating part... LOL Light a fire under your step girly - I wanted to say - we are missing prime sliding time. LOL In every day life - I have NO Problems waiting for BFF or DH to smoke - unless they make me stand outside with them when it's -30 out... It's only at WDW I've ever had an issue.

I agree about the stairs - they suck. That's why I like BB most - no stairs. And we all ride the ski lift - ALWAYS - as single riders... Up that hill lickety split.

I was a smoker still on our first trip (2003) and I remember there being a LOT more smoking areas - I really think that Disney is making them fewer and fewer in an effort to make their parks somewhat smoke free? I am not sure - but that was part of the issue with BFF too - is she had to go so far to find one. I think AK only has 2 in the whole park? As much as I don't like to smell the smoke - It would be nice if WDW was a little more friendly in the aspect of having more places, so people don't have to go SO FAR.

Yah - I do recommend the water parks - especially on summer trips... We really enjoy our time there - if only to float around the lazy rivers a bazillion times.

Yes - I do all of the quilting too - from start to finish - the entirety of all the bags is my work alone... All of the stitching and bag assembly is done on my personally restored 1952 Singer 15-91, her name is Patience:

It brings me great pleasure to be able to make my bags entirely by my own skill... Which I constantly feel the need to perfect. But don't get me wrong... I firmly believe there is an art to every aspect of sewing - no matter what brings you joy! Your work is amazing too - and I can only hope to one day see it in person.

Instead - I am going to work upstairs for a little while this morning.

Then I have to run to town to get Alli - she had to work today.

She has a photoshoot tonight, but she doesn't need a ride. Gus is coming over and he's going to drive her. So nice of him.
