Have a great weekend.

If anyone know of websites where I can find out what not to miss in the northern part of USA please tell me. And if you know of a place we should not miss stopping by on our road trip in the north please tell me :) We are going from Seattle and all the way to the state Maine

Love the Figment bag - he's one of Charlie's favorites.

Can't wait to hear/see the big news!

I would say - you should come across through South Dakota and see the Badlands/Custer State Park/Mt. Rushmore for sure. Mo will probably be able to tell you more about the Chicago area, and what you should see there, because I am guessing you will have to drive through that area to get around the lake.

Thanks Tess! I can't wait to share it...

We had a great day yesterday... Nope - I didn't even set foot into my sewing room, my day just got away from me. :rolleyes1 By the time I drove to town to drop Alli off at work, and then drove home again - it was almost time to make dinner. Oh well. I am still a little bit ahead up there - so I don't feel too guilty about it.

So... The big news... I don't want to go into too much detail, because it's about Allison and a private part of her life... Though - it's "Facebook official" now - so... All summer, Allison and Gus have been spending a lot of time together as friends - and through it all, they've managed to become best friends... I've been watching and I've been waiting... I had a feeling they'd be getting back together - after all - she is amazing. Who could resist, right? LOL I feel like they've really taken the time to get know eachother well.

Thanks for letting me share here.

Today - not sure what's on our agenda? Probably more laziness? :rolleyes1 I know Gus is coming over for a while... And Alli has to work later today.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Prayers and good thoughts to all of you! :grouphug:

Grrrr.....the DIS ate my last reply...again! I replied a couple days ago on the TL update :(

Well, I loved the update, mostly because I have never been to the waterparks so I love seeing them. But I also love how well the pictures came out. You look fabulous D! You have worked very hard and it shows, you are so much more confident in yourself. Love your smiles :)

Allison and Gus make a very cute couple. My best wishes are with them!

D, I'm checking the DIS before we head to the airport and am so glad I did. Alli and Gus sure are a cute couple. Thank you for sharing the photo with us. :goodvibes

Congratulations to Alli and Gus

We are already planning on going to see Mount Rushmore. It was one of the few things I know I want to see. I remember it from the year my family lived in Madison, Wisconsin the year I was turning 7. We lived in the USA for a year while my father studied there. I went to kindergarten and we learned about all at least Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. That's the two presidents I still can remember we learned something about. We went on a road trip the whole family to see Mount Rushmore.

Today is a sad day for me. Last night one of my 3 cats didn't feel well. I took care of my cat as best as I could. This morning when I woke up and saw her sleeping on the floor I petted her and noticed that there was no reaction. So I tried to feel her heartbeat. I thought I knew where the heart was supposed to be, but there was nothing there. No heart beating. I lifted her head to see if I got any reaction. But she didn't move. I then realized she had died during the night. I know it's "only a cat" but for me she was a part of my family. I only have my cats. So my relationship to all 3 of them is special.

Terkina, I am so sorry about your cat. Pets definitely work their way into our hearts. It is always hard when a pet passes away. My thoughts are with you during this time.

D, you are looking FAB - U - LOUS!

Alli and gus make a cute couple. They both look so happy! I am happy for both of them.

When I read your post I realized my nick her is the name of the cat that died this morning. I can't belive I haven't thought of that lately.

They make such a CUTE couple!

Love your news!

Nini

Thank you - I think they are adorable my self. :lovestruc

No worries Suzi... The Dis has been weird lately.

Glad you love the update, and thank you... I do feel more confident and happy - if that's even possible. I always felt like a happy person before - but this is totally different.

Thanks... I think they are cute too... It's so sweet to see them together - especially now that they've told us, because they don't have to act like they aren't. :scratchin

They are so adorable!!

Thank you! I think so too. The best part, is that they have to much fun together... It's been a great thing that they've gotten to know eachother so well.

Thanks Kathy... I am glad you had a great trip! I loved seeing all of your pictures on FB... It went too fast though. I hope you made it home safely.

Thank you Lillian. I am glad that you already had Mt. Rushmore on your itinerary.

I am so very sad for you for the loss of your cat. I agree they are our family - our children. Many hugs and much love and prayers to you during this time. :grouphug:

We had a super lazy day yesterday...

We did NOTHING. Ooooh - wait - we watched Back to the Future!

The most excitement we had was Gus coming over to help Allison with her Chemistry homework... Which he truly did help... I overheard them occasionally - and it made me chuckle a little bit. :teacher: They sat there for 3+ hours working on it, and then he dropped her off at work on his way home.

Josh and I went out for dinner last night at our favorite local restaurant... Saturday night's special is Prime Rib, so Sunday's special is a Prime Rib sandwich with all the left-over Prime Rib from the night before... ::yes:: It was delicious - I ordered it with out a bun. :thumbsup2

Today I am at Target... My shift is a tad shorter than normal - so that's nice. Originally, they forgot to put me on the schedule at all this week - and they begged me to come in today... So, sadly, I let them schedule me for a shift - but I told them it had to be short. ::yes::

That's all here... Nothing else exciting or interesting.

I hope you all have a wonderful day! Prayers and good thoughts to all of you! :grouphug:

D~

Love the photoshoot. Way too adorable. Kinda figured they would get back together! :cheer2:

i LOVE figment!!! He is such a great little character!!!

The picture of Alli and Gus is adorable.

Sounds like you had a nice, quiet weekend. Mine was pretty much the opposite, a Disney whilrwind! We got home and got the car unpacked about 15 minutes before my nail place closes so I begged DH to watch the girls so I could go get a very overdue pedicure. He was awesome and watched them for me but by the time I got home it was time to eat dinner and then I was exhausted and just ready to be done with the day so we watched some TV and went to bed - no unpacking completed at all! I will try to finish it up tonight since I want to go ahead and get packed for my girls weekend trip! Not to mention I want to use the next couple of nights to get ahead on chores so DH won't have much to deal with while I'm gone.

Hope Target goes great today. I have a lot to get done the next couple days - at work and at home :)

Thank you very much

It's nice to have a lazy day from time to time.
I hope your day at Target went well.

 For losing a part of your family.

Also - you're doing as well as many Americans, remembering only George Washington and Abraham Lincoln as Presidents. Terrible as that is. :sad2:

D~ Alli and Gus are a very cute couple and if he's helpful with Chemistry, so much the better!

No sewing for me this weekend - SIL was up to visit so we went thrifting Saturday and Sunday was my sister's annual party. Cale and I were exhausted from all the socializing & went to bed early last night.

Love the Figment bag. I need to come up with a Figment something for my mom. She doesn't usually carry a purse, but a wallet might work.

Have a great day!

Hehe I've learned about other american presidents after my year in kindergarten. But that's the only two presidents I can remember facts about today that I learned in kindergarten :)

Have been silently lurking along, but will be silent no more! :lmao:

Looks like you guys had a wonderful vacay! Love all of the pictures!

Gus and Alli are so cute together!

Where did she get her brown boots and denim shirt from? I've been looking EVERYWHERE for a lighter denim shirt and brown boots, but haven't found any that I like! And then I see the picture that you posted and I'm all like OH MY GOODNESS!!! I must know where her shirt and boots are from!!! LOL

Can't wait to read your next update! :goodvibes

I love the picture of Alli and Gus....they are adorable together. She is gorgeous and so grownup. And I loved your figment bag. Hope you are feeling better.

Seemed like Alli & Gus were spending a lot of time together as 'friends', but I'm glad they made it "official".

Lillian, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Our furbabies are a big part of our family, so I understand how hard it is to lose one. Hugs.

Speaking of furbabies, Charlie and I adopted 2 rescues on Saturday. I've been missing Ringo like crazy since Shannon dognapped him off to Chicago in May, but we wanted to wait until we got back from Disney before we started the process. I decided that I wanted a small dog this time around, and the local pet shop was having an adoption day with dogs from the SPCA. I stopped in to see if they had any small dogs and the first one to greet me looked very similar to Ringo. I sat down on the floor to pet her and another little one came over and sat in my lap. So, long story short, Buddy & Rosie came home with us. They are Chihuahua mixes, 9 years old and needed to stay together. They have seemed to bond to me and Buddy was distraught today while I was at work. Luckily, Charlie is working from home for the next couple of weeks, so that should help with the separation anxiety, I hope.

Awww... That's so cute - and funny! And that's awesome that you were able to remain friends.

I do love that even though the boys aren't in the same class this year we both say on a weekly basis that they should be because both our room parent jobs would be so much easier because we both just get each other and things run smoothly. This year it doesn't because we both have parent's that say they want to do it but don't really step up to do anything when we ask for help.

Glad you had a quiet weekend. Gus and Allison are very cute together!! I love the pictures on FB of the two of them. Yes pictures are the best way to document everything that is going on.

I'm so sorry for the lose of your cat. Even though she is just a pet they do become a part of your family. That is how I felt about our beloved dog Bear who has sadly been gone for 5 years now. :( Best wishes that you are doing ok and that the other 2 help the healing process (they will always be a part of you and I still miss mine every day.)
