? A/C Capacity for Repo Trip?

I'm a little worried about the A/C capacity on the Magic for our Eastbound Repositioning Trip in August. We've made a Western Caribbean trip in Oct. and a 4-night trip in Feb. and had no trouble, but at least on the Oct. trip it seemed like the thermostat was maxxed for cool to keep the room comfortable (which for me is in the low to mid 70s). Any thoughts on how things will be in Aug. in Panama? How about previous cruisers' experience during August in the Western Caribbean?

We had a similar problem when we sailed in september. We just had to make sure the veranda door was keep shut.

I have sailed through the Panama canal before and can confirm it is very hot, humid and tropical, the heat will be strong. I remember being up on deck before and you get fixed watching all of the activity at the locks and forget to hydrate have water and end up with a headache.

The pointers are:-
Yes if you have a verandah, use it for viewing take breaks and close the door, only open it when you want to go in or out, to keep as much as the cool air in.

If you go on deck, take lots water, not beer until the evening, and try to avoid the soft drinks.
There are three main locks, plan time to view these, and then have a break, pop in and out as it goes through the canal.
Use the main restaurants for lunch to cool down there, and rest, and have a dip in the pool.
Suncream and a hat are very important.
Pack in your bag, headache tablets to be on the safe side.
If all else fails take a cold shower!
