A Bunch Of Hojo Questions...

Last year we were in bldg 2 and paid $59 looking towards the pool. That was during the renovations. We are staying there in December for the same rate and staying in a courtyard room. Those too can face the Pool, main pool area anyway. I've requested to face the courtyard....I'd think the pool noise would be louder than the freeway noise.

The hotel message boards describe our room as follows:
These Standard Rooms are very popular with many of our repeat guests and feature two oversized double beds [about three inches narrower than a queen sized beds]. They sleep five people maximum, and are located in the four 2-story buildings [our Pavilions, Buildings 3, 4, 5 and 6] near our Front Desk. These rooms will face either our Main Pool Area or our beautifully landscaped Courtyard.

Yes, I understand what you're saying also. We too stayed in a bldg. 2 room in Dec. overlooking the pool for $59. Those rooms are now $69, so that is what I was referring to. I just saw a difference between the terms "pool view" (what is usually referred to as bldg. 2) and "pool facing" as in the pavillion bldgs. and the info. that you posted. It just seems that when people referred to rooms as "pool view" it is always bldg. 2 ($69 rooms) that they are referring to. I just wanted to clarify this so that people were sure of what they were getting. Since the poster who mentioned getting a pool view room for $59 didn't say which bldg. it was, I wanted to clarify that it possibly wasn't what was commonly referred to as "pool view" in bldg. 2, actually overlooking the pool.

Keep checking back if the rates don't apply to your dates. They add more dates as it gets closer, depending on how full they are.

What if I have a reservation already? Can I then apply the discount price to it? Or do I need to hold off making the reservation?

You can make the reservation now. When you see that those dates have become available with the ent. rate, you can call in-house reservations and have them change the rate on your reservation to the ent. rate. :)
