A bold FP line cutter

Ya know, we did have an "issue" with line cutters at ToT. We are a group of 4, 2 kids, 2 adults, while walking into TOT at MHT a group of about 10 people cut us in half. IE, they split our group of 4 into 2 groups of 2 (1 kid, 1 adult). We got to the doorway before walking into the big room where you watch the TV and the 2 of us who had been separated walked to the front of the line by the doors (our other 2 were already waiting and they were in front of the group that cut my DD7 and I off). We walked into the TV room, saw the show and when they opened the doors the other group (I'm NOT kidding) RAN through the doors.....we walked through and when the line stopped another 10 people pushed past us to stand with the first group of 10!!!! I was not happy but didn't say anything because the line was really short. I knew we would be on shortly so I just rolled my eyes at DBF and sucked it up. I noticed that their group was next in line when it really should have been us but again, I didn't say anything because the line was just them, 20 people is not a long wait IMO. :) About 2 seconds later a CM yelled out "does anyone have a reservation for 4?" and I raised my hand and we got to "cut" back in front of all those people....so in the end we were on the same elevator we would have been on originally! LOL I guess me not saying anything paid off for us. LOL And when we were walking through they all kept muttering about how "unfair" it was that we were "cutting" in front of them. LOL

Another ride where line cutting frequently occurs is the long indoor entrance where you walk for at least 10 minutes and get to see the neat exhibits. There are usually a lot of gaps in the line as people are walking and playing with the ropes and taking pictures of the skeletons. That long walk-through entrance shares a rope with the long walk-through exit. I've seen people exiting the ride just duck under the rope and voila, they're now "entering" the ride instead of leaving!

The family in front of us actually tapped a CM when 2 teenagers did exactly that cut in front of them during our last trip and told the CM what happened while the 2 teenagers continued ahead of them. The CM did confront the 2 teenagers but did not tell them who reported their line-cutting as their outfits were pretty intimidating--piercings and tattoos all over their face and body and dressed in all black with chains hanging from belt loops. The CM said that there are cameras along the way and they have been spotted crossing from the exit line to the entrance line. What happened next bowled me over. Instead of sheepishly leaving, the 2 girls flatly denied and told the CM to show them the video footage to prove that they did something wrong...the nerve! Of course, there was nothing the CM can do and he walked away. GRRR!!

Danger Mosue that is so funny! Mr. Toads hell. Ha Ha HA. I feel the same way, the really sad thing about rude people is they breed rude offspring.

I have a comment on the bag check line. We just moved from Florida to So. Cal. and notice they do the bag check a little differently here. At WDW the isles to check bags are wider and one CM stands in the middle at the top end and waves the people through with no bags. I was expecting this at DL as I had to make trip out to my car and made sure I didn't bring my backpack but I still had to wait in line. DL could learn from WDW and make the line move faster on those crowded days.

That Indiana Jones/scary teens story (as well as the others) . . . WOW, people have nerve. When stuff like that happens to me or around me, I take a deep breath and soooooo hope that Karma is real and what goes around will come around and kick them in the . . . . . .

This happened to the sweetpea and I once at Indy. We told the CM what had happened, and pointed out what shirts they were all wearing (they were a group). The CM then went up, pulled the group out of line, and they had to exit. The young couple in front of us, who they actually cut in front of, thanked us. They were too young and shy to say anything. Well, I'm not.

LOL OK so the Indy story reminded me of something. We were walking OUT of Indy and the exit line parallels the entry line. There were 2 teenagers walking IN and they jumped into the EXIT line! LOL My DBF and I were discussing whether or not to tell them they jumped the wrong way but decided not to, we thought maybe they might learn something. Well, they walked right in front of us....all the OUT of the ride!!!! LOL They walked out, stopped and said "Oh d**n, it was the exit not the entrance" LOL Micah and I were laughing so hard I actually had to stop and sit down. They looked at me kinda dirty as they walked past me but I didn't care.....LOL It was hilarious!

Ah, I'm so sorry! Rude people will always get it in the end, no worries and don't waste your energy on it. I probably wouldn't have said anything except maybe - "kinda showing your class now, eh?!"

I am very very sorry to anyone who has a child hurt in that way - that's beyond not okay and not acceptable, I'll hope those folks get a few extra blisters on their feet and extra gray hair.

See I didn't know that about WDW. I'm surprised they don't have it the same way.

:rotfl2: All I have to say about that is GOOD! :rotfl:

Yes, I'm learning, too. We've been to WDW many times (never with a bag!) and have always been waved through. Now, I know I'll have to stand in line at DL. I won't be a line jumper, since that's frowned upon, but it's a bit frustrating. It works well at WDW and I've virtually never seen a problem with "bagged" folks trying to by-pass the bag line. One or two security folks can monitor the "bag-free" area quite efficiently.

Sometimes you just have to let go. Yes, its bad and not nice but what CAN you do anyways?

I always think, whenever one does something good, then good things will come... whenever on does bad things, bad things will come... so then i think hahaha, something bad is gonna happen to you!!! muaahahaha...

then i feel better :P

but from a CM prospective, would you rather the CM argue on holding the line, or just let that ONE single person go by. It happens because i have had that happen to me...

happy thoughts, happy thoughts!

What I don't like about the "what comes around goes around" theory is that is doesn't happen fast enough for me. If it happened faster then the bad people would possibly learn a lesson. ;)

It is frustrating. I've been on both sides, with having a bag and not having a bag. The lines at DL just aren't set up or wide enough for people to walk up to the front with no bags. So I hope they either set up a no bag line, or I hope people with no bags don't start a trend of coming up to the front. Not just because people don't like it, but because it's near impossible to constantly squeeze them in.
