On the second day we hit Universal slightly after opening. We did Jimmy Neutron as soon as we got in, which the kids loved. Then we did Shrek which they loved a lot too, but we bought the 3d video so it wasn't really new to them other than the seats moving. Like a total idiot, I then took the kids into twister. Now, keeping in mind, I showed them videos of all the rides before we went from the website and explained it all to them, and they want to hit every one. Well, this was a mistake as they both freaked out. We left there feeling guilty and went to the ghostbusters show. My 6 year old loved it and we ended up seeing it twice during our stay. She took pictures and was just like a little Fly Fly clone. My oldest could care less and watched it with me from a shady area while my wife and youngest were right up front. We missed the Blues Brothers and Beetlejuice again and never caught them during the trip. We all went on the Mummy, which my wife and oldest absolutely loved, I thought was really good but not as great as spiderman, and my youngest liked somewhat but wasn't interested in going on again. We skipped Earthquake as, while I love it, I wasn't putting the kids through any more trama. We hit men in black and my oldest loved it, as do my wife and I. My youngest hated it. When we returned to the park a couple days later though, she wanted to give it another try and wound up loving it. Who can figure. We skipped BTTF as I didn't feel like getting my head bashed into the side of the car and hit the kidzone. The girls loved Animal Planet live (they love animals), and had fun in Fievels playland and Curious George goes to town. They were soaked. We did the ET ride over and over as my youngest loved it. We must have rode it 6 times over our visit. We did Woody's Coaster and skipped Barney, where my kids wouldn't get caught dead, as they are just to old and to cool. We hit terminator and they both liked it, neither loved it, skipped the lucy tribute, and caught the makeup show. We covered the kids eyes at the movie parts and explained what was going to happen. They were laughing at most but I forgot to tell them about the monster moving at the end. They freaked out when the monster went after the guest on stage and hated it from that point.
During our two trips over to Universal we saw Scooby and Shaggy, with and without the mystery machine, Curious George and the man with the yellow hat, Crash Bandit, Woody and Winnie Woodpecker, Popeye and Olive, Lucy and Desi, Shrek, Tommy, Chucky, and Angelica of the Rugrats, Donnie from the Thornberrys, Spongebob, and Dora the Explorer.
Next and last, Seaworld and a food wrapup.

Thanks for interesting read. My youngest son aged 8 likes most rides but doesn't like "dark" or "fire" and yet can do lots more than my eldest - daughter aged 10 - she doesn't like fast rides and yet not bothered by dark or fire! They are all different!! We are hoping ds this time will do Poseidons as, with lots of reassurance before hand, actually enjoyed a similar themed attraction at Spain's Universal Mediterranea in May this year. He's also never done Earthquake or twister - but my dd did both at his age last time.:D

Great report. Wishin' I was there instead of dealing with all this bad weather stuff. Reading your report, brought me back to my vacation memories as well. My happy place.....:D
