As a "newbie" to the DIS boards and WDW I found your thread.

First of all I am sorry but am moved by your strength and how wonderful your daughter seems to be. What an amazing mom!

Alicia, I am so happy to see you planning another trip and talking it about the plans on the boards.

DH and I were at the PC the same time as you last year and although we did not get formally introduced, I remember seeing you and your lovely family around.

Your strength through your sorrow has been an inspiration to many people who you do not know but who follow your story. You have helped so many! I know that nothing will ever make up for the loss of your sweet Levi but your grief and recovery to as "normal" a life as you are ever going to have with him not in your arms, is truly admired by many.

We too have lost a young son. The circumstances of our loss are very different than yours but the feelings of empty arms, grief and sorrow for the future are shared with us.

Thank you again for being so open and sharing of yourself!

Hi! Yhanks for being here. So sorry we missed you at PC last year. Hopefully, you didn't see me on a grumpy day! LOL! I am sorry to here about your son. I can completely empathize with the feelings you mentioned. We are planning our next vacation out West. There isn't a moment when I don't wish Levi could be with us, that I could watch his bright eyes when he hears an elk bugle. And that barely scratches the surface of what I wanted to experience with him. Ok- now that I am crying- in the library- I better move on!

Glad to see you're back! I was starting to get worried about you!! Can't wait to hear the rest of your plans. You guys are going to have such a great trip. You should start the trip report now! Be sure to include LOTS of pictures!!!

A little bit excited? Nah! Totally excited is more like it! I'm OK, but I was spending too much time on the computer, so I turned off the internet at home. There hasn't been a day since that I haven't kicked myself in the rear for it, but I am trying!!! I just don't have any willpower. LOL!

Your children are absolutley beautiful. I am deeply sorry for your loss. We were like you our first couple of family trips to DL. We thought it would be something we did every few years. 6 1/2 years ago, we were planning for a trip to DL. One month before we left, we found out that our youngest son's heart disease had become much worse ( they previously thought it was "cured") and his prognosis was grim. 3 weks later, my best friend's 3 yo son, Aaron, ( and my youngest son's best friend) drowned in a koi pond. We grieved deeply- not only for the loss of Aaron ( an important part of our family), but for the very real possibility we would lose our son. We almost cancelled our trip. But because of our kids, we didn't. When we got there- Disney magic kicked in. For brief periods of time, the deep, sick feeling in our stomachs went away. We actually felt moments of joy. Disney became our magic place where we forget the rest of the world. We now go as often as possible. Even though our youngest is now 9 and is holding his own on medication, we know he could go into heart failure tomorrow. Disney is still our magic place. We are going to DL in August and Nathan has been approved for a MAW trip ( he chose a Disney cruise or WDW).

I know you will never forget Levi, I just hope that you are able to find those moments of joy. If something were to happen to Nathan ( or any of my children) I hope we would be able to still find magic at Disney. You and your family will be in our prayers.

Isabelle looks so pretty in all her new customs, she'll surely be the best dressed kid at WDW I post on the Disboutiquers thread and i've just been blown away by the generosity and kindness of the ladies on there Still thinking of you all and hope you're doing OK *hug*

Just found your trip report from the "wish trip" thread - I'm so sorry for your loss. Glad, though, that you have the happy memories from your last trip and the wonderful photos of your precious children to remind you of the good times. Sounds like you have a nice trip planned - and surprises to distract you.
