I don't have an update, but I want to thank you for your kind words & prayers. Its been a busy & challenging. One year ago, today, I lost Levi, my angel. Of course, I didnt find out until the 9th.

Matt and I took the day off. We visited Levi and spent a couple of hours picking a monument we are very excited about. You see, the day after matt and I were realeasesd from our fourth hospital, on our wedding anniversary no less, we picked out his monument. Though we would have been happy with it. Due to poor customer servicewe decided to shop around. Who knew there were so many choices! I want to thank everyone who has helped us in this matter. Its going to be beautiful!

Here is the poem I wrote for Levi that will be engraved on the back:

My Little Man

Eyes of blue shine vibrantly from heaven above,
and all around I hear your laughter and feel your love.
It doesn't compare to having you here,
I long to hold you in my arms and keep you near.
I know someday we'll again be together,
until then I'll hold you in my heart, whispering "I love you" forever.
you see, for you, Angel, God has an unknown plan,
but I need you to know you are always My Little Man.
I won't give up, for your memory and love I'll fight,
and remind you of your place in my heart each and every night.


This isn't fianal. I may still work on it some.

Oh Alicia, I LOVE your poem to Levi. It is so beautiful, I just cried and cried reading it. I think it is PERFECT just the way it is!!! You never cease to amaze me, my friend!!!

My heart aches for you/with you. Your poem is absolutely beautiful. I lost my 3 yr old daughter, Marissa, in a car crash in 1998. We recently passed the tenth anniversary of her going to Heaven and in so many ways it feels like only yesterday. Of course, we have healed a great deal but a heart so broken... well, we will always remember.... we will always long. Your precious boy is in Heaven smiling down with great pride in his Mommy and his family. I cried reading your words because I know the depth of the ache and appreciate every word.
