Okay, i appologize in advance for the rant you are about to read:
I belong to a community service club at the YMCA in my area. We do all kinds of stuff for the community including band nights and adopt-a-family around the holidays. tonight we were supposed to go X-mas caroling to raise funds for our family. When we got to the Y to leave the girl who was supposed to confirm bands for our upcoming bandnight mentioned that she had confirmed 5 bands to play. Our advisor kinda wigged out and got all "Why did you do that? We're supposed to do these things as a club!", the Girl said "I'm sorry, I don't see why you're making such a big deal out of this, I thought I was supposed to confirm the bands." Basically they argued a bit more and we got on our way to go caroling.
After we'd done our first hous the advisor asked the member who'd gone and spoken with the owner of the house what the people had said because it took quite some time to get going. She replied "The guy who answered the door didn't even live there and he had to get the people who did. Is that the next house we're going to because I have a lot of stuff to do tonight, and i'm not feeling to well." Her tone was a little rude, but let's face it, it's the holidays, stress is in the air. Club advisor (let's call him J) says "Alright, everybody on the bus we're leaving!"
So we go back to the Y, and J asks door girl (R), "R, what was that all about?" R replies "Well I really didn't like the way you treated band girl (B), I don't think you appriciate how much stress we're all under. We're appliying to colleges, plus it the holidays and school, and we're still finding the time to do things for this club."
T make a colassal story shorter, J gets all POed that we think he doesn't get it. People get POed that J stopped the whole thing because he was upset with one person. I'm just upset that we're all doing this for charity, we all gave up our Sunday night, and a lot more of our time to help a family afford X-mas presents for their kids, and it all gets stopped because J gets mad. (as a side not the entire club thought that he meant for B to confirm the bands, so it wasn't a big deal to us because we trust her judgement.)
