Okay, I'll admit it. I absolutely LOVE southern food despite my being from stinky Jerzy. I'm heading down to the World next month and must have biscuits and gravy at least twice. I know they serve it at Artist's Pallette at SSR, but I'm not staying there. Does anyone else know where it is served?

I usually stay at the All-Star resorts (Sports, mostly, because I usually run the races) and the hotel cafeteria has biscuits and gravy (and one biscuit and gravy counts as a snack on the Disney Dining Plan!). I've had better, to be perfectly frank, but I get it, anyway.

I've seen it on all of the breakfast buffets over the years. It's not something I ever eat- but DH gets it sometimes and says it's pretty good.

I'll bet most of the food courts have it too.
Where are you staying?

DH thinks the AS Movies has the best biscuit and gravy in Disney. He's sad that the moderates and deluxes don't usually serve it.

Captain's Grille breakfast buffet had it.

Can someone enlighten me please? I am not familiar with biscuits and gravy. Are we talking tea biscuits and a meat gravy? Is this a breakfast food?

Biscuits and gravy...ahhh...a southern tradition.

The biscuit part is a savory biscuit, one made from flour, shortening/lard, baking soda, and milk (at least at my house). Sometimes the dough is rolled out and cut, DH's grandmother shaped them by hand.

The gravy is a white milk-based gravy. I make mine with crumbled up sausage in it!

Then I think I may have had a near miss with biscuits and gravy a while back. At a breakfast buffet I picked up a biscuit, and avoided the heavy white sauce next to it--which I now guess was the gravy. Had no idea what the white sauce was at the time, or why it would be on a breakfast buffet in the first place. I guess some things do get lost in translation! Thanks for the info.

Here are biscuits and gravy with some eggs and bacon.:goodvibes

My DBIL is from Missouri and make a smashing gravy for breakfast on Christmas morning. Well worth the 40 minute drive through the slush and snow to get there. Oh and seeing my Sis and her family is nice, too.:goodvibes

Biscuits and gravy are available at POFQ. Someone, don't remember who but it was last year, said you could use a snack credit (they're something like $3.50) but when I asked last Nov., I was told no because they are "plated". Huh? Anyway, I didn't try them but DH said they were decent.

I was there just a month ago and, according to the list of DDP snacks in the cafeteria, a snack credit could be used to buy a single biscuit and gravy at All Star Music. I've stayed at All Star Sports three times this year and it was also available there for a snack credit.
