Hi, everyone!
Lauri wanted me to pass a message along to everyone
To Peggie (Mickey527) and to everyone who participated, thank you so very much for doing everything you did to lift her spirits. We weren't able to make it to the Epcot Pin Celebration this year, due to Lauri's battle with Stills Disease. Her spirits have been taking a beating lately, and the surprise of sponsoring her at the event, the pins, and the big card everyone signed did her such a world of good I don't know how to describe it. She was "overwhelmed" (her exact words) at the response and it did her heart good.
The Pin Celebration weekend happened right after Hurricane Isabel came through Virginia. We were without power and internet access, both feeling pretty miserable without AC. Since we weren't able to sign on, I told Lauri about the surprise Peggie cooked up, and she couldn't believe it.
She hasn't been able to spend any time on the computer lately, so she asked me to post a thank you to everyone that participated and tell everyone that you are the best.
This is what she dictated to me to say:
I wish I had the ability to thank each and every one of you in person. Your kindness and generosity couldn't have come at a better point in my life. Knowing that there are people like you out there that care so much about me has made a big differece on my outlook on life right now. I can never thank you enough.
