Just wanted to tell Pete I totally agree with his comments about the slow boards and the complainers. :thumbsup2 I would rather have slow boards than no boards. This is basically free entertainment for me. I get a lot of pleasure out of visiting these boards and am very thankful that I can visit often. Whether I'm planning a trip, needing information on a life issue (i.e. experiences from other people in similar situations), product reviews or basically anything, I come to the Disboards FIRST! (well, actually probably second since I do know how to use Google. :rotfl:)

So, just a big THANK YOU! to everyone and all that they do for this site everyday.

Oh, and a comment on the budget board posts......can anyone say green with envy? :teacher:

Just want to tell Pete that I'd love to hear your review of your recent cruise on Royal Caribbean with Walter. We just booked a cruise for next January and have travelled on RC several times before. I'm always interested to hear of others experiences. Thanks & looking forward to it!

Pete and Walter will be traveling on the Oasis soon and John and I will be on the Allure.

I'm sure we will do a comparison review in the not too distant future.

I don't get people complaining about free stuff.

The only thing I complain about on the DIS is why Mr. Webmaster Alex won't put better smilies on the side and why he doesn't get rid of dumb ones and get us some better ones.

Webmaster Alex has more than once explained that he is not the Smilie Guru, but that doesn't matter. Somewhere along the way, he became the guy to bug about smilies. And those who complain to him are kidding, anyway. Mostly. ;)

Other than the smilie situation, there really isn't much to complain about.

Besides, it's free. :)

We took a pitiful Carnival cruise last year (really not a good intro into cruising at all) and on one of the days we were in the same piece of ocean as the Oasis. My DH and I were dearly tempted to jump ship and swim on out to it and somehow climb aboard From what we saw, it is a totally amazing ship!

The boards can be slow, not as slow as some other sites I visit (HuffPo comes to mind), but it's like everything else-you either put up with it or you don't. If theme park prices are too high, you stop going. If the boards are too slow, stop coming. It's simple. It's not worth getting crazy or stressed over.

However, if people stopped complaining the boards would die-this is what people do here and they've elevated it to an art form. "I didn't get a towel animal!!! WAAAAHH,my kid didn't get picked for Jedi training!!!! Somebody cut in front of in line! Those mean people didn't let me stand in front of them at the parade after they'd been there for an hour! The ECV people got on the bus and I had to wait!!! WAAAAAHHHH!!!" And that's just the theme park planning board!! :lmao:
