A BIG GIVE for a deserving DIS family PLEASE READ

There is a DIS family who has endured a terrible tragedy. Just a few weeks after returning from a trip to WDW last fall, the family was in a car accident and their beautiful 2 year old boy was killed. The mom is Alicia (DIS name aksunshine) the dad is Matt and their 5 year old daughter is Isabelle. They are returning to WDW in August. you can read her pre-trip report here:

Alicia is a Disboutiquer - she made the outfits for Isabelle and Levi for their trip BY HAND!!! She went to buy fabric to make her daughter some clothes for their upcoming trip and just burst into tears, it was just too hard remembering making the clothes for her son on their trip so she left the fabric store empty handed.

Well, Beth (DIS name MouseTriper) an absolutely amazing woman, got the idea to have a BIG GIVE, DIS style!!! The Disboutiquers are busy sewing outfits for Isabelle to wear during their upcoming trip!!! They are beautiful!!! There are some photos in Alicia's pre-trippie as well as on the Disboutique thread. Although Alicia is aware of the BIG GIVE and is EXTREMELY grateful, she is banned (in a good way) from the Disboutique thread so she can't see the outfits until Isabelle receives them in the mail!!!!

Beth is also putting together a basket to be delivered to the family's room at WDW. I have told her that I will help her with the basket (since I have the creativity of a door knob) and thought maybe you talented DISigners could help. Would anyone be willing to contribute to this basket??? Sahlink, or anyone else, would you be willing to make one of your spectacular activity books for Isabelle? Could someone make her an autograph book, a passport, a journal???

All of you DISigners are so generous with your designs, I hope you will be able to help spread a little pixie dust on a family that needs it more than anyone I know.

I am so sorry for this family's loss. I remember making a LGMH for aksunshine several months ago. I will remember this family in my prayers for sure. I did these in case you can use them in some way.

If any of the non-creative types like me would like to contribute Disney items for the gift basket for their room please PM me. Isabelle's favorite characters are Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Snow White, Cinderella, Giselle and Alice. I am bidding on a WDW coloring book for her on ebay, I have another coloring book, some glow bracelets, and a Princess magic coloring pad. ANYTHING anyone would like to contribute would be great!!!

If this family has not been through enough as it is, they cannot afford a headstone for their little boy!!! Beth and Alicia spoke on the phone yesterday and Alicia was in tears. Apparently the man who was to have started the headstone has not yet and wants $3000 up front (they were hoping to set up a payment plan) and another $3000 when it is done!!!! This in addition to the thousands of dollars they have in medical bills from the accident that their insurance didn't cover.

Thank you all for your help in sending some Pixie Dust over a family that really needs it.

I think it's wonderful that everyone is doing this - I cannot even begin to imagine the pain this family is going through!

I am currently working on a journal for my DS. If nobody is doing a journal for Isabelle, I would be honored to do one for her.
I think I have their ADRs from the pre-trippie Alicia posted, but if you have a list of these, I would be pleased to see it and ensure that I haven't missed anything.
I live in the UK so if anybody can PM me the family's postal address, I will post the completed journal to this brave little girl.
If anybody already has a journal in the pipeline, that's fine as I am sure that there are Disigners out there whose talents are far greater than mine!!!!

I just want everyone to know that when I log on and see all the responses to my posts that it brings tears to my eyes. I have only been a member of the Dis for a couple of months but the generosity of the members of these boards in particular this one and the Disboutiquers just amazes me.
