Does anyone know how to get rid of all the lint from a "Berber" coat? I have a berber pull-over which I love but almost never wear because the stuff comes off on everything. I have washed and washed and washed it but all I get is a lot of lint in the washer. Does anyone know a trick?

What in the world is a "Berber" coat?

I've heard of berber carpet, but never a berber coat. I agree. What in the world is a berber coat?

Maybe some explanation?

I don't really know how to explain it to you. I got it at Chadwicks and a lot of stores sell them. It's just a type of material.

Berber fleeces are kind of more nubby than regular fleece. Here is a pic I pulled off the LL Bean site.

Sorry I cannot help with the lint problem.

Berber is a textured fleece fabric, similar in a way to the look of berber carpet. I have no suggestions on how to eliminate the lint. My only thought is that it's not very well made and that's why it is "shedding". I had a chenille sweater or two that eventually fell apart (large holes) from washing according to the care label. Are you following the care label? Should it be dry cleaned or can it be machine washed?
