A beautiful first day of fall!

It is actually cloudy today, which is cause for celebration because it so rarely happens here. And, it's only going to the mid-80s, which is also a reason to celebrate! The summers here are HOT, HOT, HOT.

So, what are you having for dinner on this lovely first day of fall? I have a pot roast and vegetables slow cooking in the crockpot.

I'm so excited that I can actually sit outside in the backyard this afternoon and read a book without passing out from the heat.

It is currently 90 and sunny here. I am having fair food for dinner! Perfect start of fall food.

I am looking forward to fall weather. It is one of my favorite seasons. Fall, Spring and Winter tied for 2, and Summer.

Here in West Central Ga, it is hot (as far as I know, I haven't been out since 8am) and we have had record highs every day this week so far and expecting that to be the case all week. We are in the upper 90's, but we are supposed to be having some cooler weather by this weekend.

We may be going out for BBQ, I'm not cooking tonight

It's actually 9/22!!!!! Don't rush me through the rest of today...You scared me into thinking it was actually Thursday. (thought I had all of the soccer practice times wrong)

I love autumn !! Our dinner is nothing as fall'ish as your yummy pot roast ! DH went to the market to get some fruit and while out thought he'd surprise me and get a pizza. So for dinner pizza and salad it will be.

Today has been hot and rainy on and off all day. So totally not fall weather. I am making teriyaki ginger beef stir fry for dinner tonight.

I heard on the news that fall begins tonight at 10 something. So fall begins today although tomorrow will officially be the first "full" day of autumn.

I'm grilling a pork loin, baked beans, squash and salad for dinner.

You are right!! The differing opinions here lead me to look it up (my calendar says it's today, that's why my thread title says "first day of fall") and fall does indeed START tonight, but tomorrow is the first FULL day of fall. There you go!

Sounds like a lot of delicious meals tonight!

It's been cloudy and raining off and on all day here.. I'll choose something from my batch cooking stash out of the freezer.. Probably turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, peas, and cranberry sauce.. Sounds more like Thanksgiving - huh?
