A Baptism, MNSSHP, & FD...sweating our way through 6 days at POP!! Completed!

Sorry it took me so long to join in - I just back myself. Great report so far. But I do have one question -

Do you have the matching handcuffs to attach this case to your wrist whenever you take it out into public? :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl2::lmao:

We did have a great trip. I'll be starting a trip report this week or next. I have 1300 pictures and unknown hours of video to sift through first. :surfweb:

I just had a vision of you holding that case, wearing one of those skimpy dresses. Then I threw up a little in my mouth. :rotfl2:

:lmao::rotfl2::rolleyes1

I made it, I FINALLY MADE IT! I'm all caught up on your trip report! Wooo Hooo!

It looks like you've had a great time so far! I'm glad the weather seems to be nicer than you anticipated. Just a couple comments from the peanut gallery here!

ummm. . . . OOPS! (:rotfl2: that's a BIG OOPS!) on the tickets. But I'm glad to hear that the situation seems to have worked itself out. See, I would have completely panicked and let ruin the whole vacation, or at least that first day. So kudos to you for keeping your cool, thinking it through, and working it out!

Wowzas to that baby - he's huge! And adorable of course! How old is he?

Let's hear it for the 1977ers! (Myself included) Woot Woot!

Let's see, what else?:confused3 Ah yes, your food pics are great! Kona is soooooo one of my favorite places for breakfast. We dined there nearly every morning when we stayed at Poly.

Bummer on the haircut, but I'm so hoping that you got there on another day. I am telling you it is the most magical haircut Juliana will ever get!

As for CRT, boy you are putting the pressure on me. I try calling once a week and still NOTHING. Now that I've seen your pictures, I am beginning to get desperate. It's no longer just a "mmmm . . . CRT would be nice." it's now a full blown "I am going to make it my mission to get CRT ressies." I may even need to call in the reserves aka Maroo :rotfl: It was Juliana in her Cinderella dress with Cinderella that totally sold me. Bella is going to be Cinderella for Halloween this year and will therefore have the dress. And BTW, the "surprise" was awesome. You're such a great dad!

Teacups? Blech! I seriously remember being a kid and going on the teacups, gravitron, tilt-a-wirl, etc over and over and over again and not feeling a bit nauseous. Now the very thought of multiple spinny rides makes me sick. It makes me wonder when I outgrew that ability?

And now I'm headed back over to your PTR to finish catching up there.

. Teacups? It makes me wonder when I outgrew that ability?

Not only do your children rob you of your brain matter when you're pregnant, they also pilfer any equilibrium you might have had.... Forget the teacups forevermore!

Aww...love the updates! Sorry you missed the Barber Shop, AGAIN, but there is always tomorrow, right? Do you guys finally make it? :lmao:

I think it's funny and cute that Juliana can handle the tea cups and you can't! :rotfl: Just kidding...I haven't been on them since I was little and my DS has never been on them. I hear too many stories and I'd hate to feel woozy or sick on my stomach for any reason so I don't take a chance. Glad to know yours went away pretty quickly!

Heather

More gorgeous girl pictures!!

I keep trying to talk dh and dd into going to the BarberShop - so far I just get weird looks - but I think I just may go for it.. maybe... maybe not!!

(I really need to win that lottery!!)

These kids grow up really fast - DD is interested in backpacking in Europe now! At least she still loves our Disney trips - and still wants to make sure we do Norway (and the one time I believed Dis'ers that Aurora is at CRT - altho I know I know "no guarantees" she wasnt there! :scared1: She insisted we stand in line too!! ok... lesson learned... )

Ummmm I don't know how that image got into your brain, but I hope you get it out!!! LOLOL:lmao:

Sounds like you had a great night. Those are low wait times I only get those at 1 AM during EMH.:rotfl2:
This trip I am finally going to get my first dole whip.
It was low lines on the rides at this time because everyone was lining up to see Specto.

Go for the Dole Whip Float. It is the icecream over pineapple juice! MMMMmmmmmm

Great pics as always but I do see a little of that 3 year old cheesy smile-Cayley does that too.
I used to like the tea cups....
Juliana makes the cheesy smiles when she is trying to be serious or not smile!!!

Did you start thinking about that picture too?:confused3:headache:

Well it was a lot hotter than I thought it was going to be!!! LOL

I knew it would work out... but that feeling I got was horrible.:sad2:

He was 4 months in those pics. He is big! LOL

All you guys are probably going to get tired of me talking about Kona... I made 2 ADRs for breakfast in March!! LOL:lmao:

Bummer on the haircut, but I'm so hoping that you got there on another day. I am telling you it is the most magical haircut Juliana will ever get!
We will try tomorrow!

COME ON MAROO-- WORK YOUR MAGIC! Both girls were really surprised!

I'm usually the one spinning them as fast as I can. For some reason I got dizzy this time.:confused3

You'll see about the haircut...:rolleyes1

I'm not sure what happened? I usually have no problems.. maybe I'm just getting older! LOLOL

In the morning while we were waiting for Melody's cousin, there was a 60-65? year old getting his haircut there. It's for all ages! LOL

(I really need to win that lottery!!)
I wouldn't mind winning either.

Wow Europe huh? Time does fly. They do grow up very quickly.:goodvibes

When Spectro finished passing us it was 8:30. We headed toward the hub in front of the castle. There were still a few drops falling. It wasn't drizzle but 'normal' size drops.. but only a few. We found a spot near a curb, but the CMs wanted everyone off the street. There wasn't much room but we managed to squish on the sidewalk. The rain stopped and another CM came by and it was the friendly CM we saw earlier and 'invited' to CRT with us. She asked us how our dinner was and we talked for a minute or two. Juliana was sitting in the stroller. I could tell she was getting tired but I really wanted her to stay awake. Watching Wishes together (Me holding her) is another tradition that we do. While we were waiting a few castle pics.

It was still hot.. upper 80's I would guess. We were getting close to 9 as you can tell by my clock picture. OH no.. here come a few more drops. It couldn't start raining now, we were getting so close! Luckily, it only lasted about 30 seconds. It was close to 9 and Juliana was still up- WHEW! I picked her up and we were waiting for it to start!

9 came and just like clockwork the music started! Juliana and I were singing the song.. you know.. the Wishes song. Starlight, Starbright, First Star I See Tonight..... I still get chills when I hear that. It was even better because Juliana was singing it too! Then we saw her! Tinkerbell started flying from the castle!!!!

I tried to get some good pictures but not only was I holding Juliana in one arm, but there was a little girl on her fathers shoulders for most of the fireworks. It was so packed that I couldn't move in either direction to get an unobstructed view. So here are a few that I got.

It's over :(

The fireworks were great! We really enjoyed them. I put Ana in the stroller and we headed with the masses down Main St.

DSC06419.jpg

Juliana wanted to recline and I took a picture of her. She was passed out about 1 minute later!

DSC06420-1.jpg

We got to the POP bus stop and there was a bus there already. We didn't make it on this bus but there was another one right behind it. Mel picked up our sleeping beauty and I got to handle the rest.. the stroller, my bookbag, and another bag. The bus was packed but Mel had a seat. I stood with the stroller and we headed back to POP.

When we arrived at POP we put Juliana back into the stroller. She didn't even move a muscle... she was out like a light! We headed into the Everything POP food court to see what was cooking at this hour. There was actually some good stuff but I decided just to grab a beer and got Mel a wine. We were going to go back to the room but we ended up drinking them next to the Hippy Dippy Pool. There were quite a few people swimming- did I mention it was hot? I finished my beer and Mel was still drinking her wine, so I had to go grab one more! (SIDE NOTE- the beer was cheaper inside the food court than it was at the bar. Plus you don't have to tip inside the food court! Just a little FYI!) We finished our drinks and headed back to the room.

We got Juliana changed and into bed. She slept OK this night. We got into bed and we both fell asleep really quickly. It was a long hot day but we really had a great time. I couldn't wait to wake up in the morning and do it again.

Up next.... Chef Mickey's, an AP try, Golf Anyone?, MNSSHP

Tim, despite holding Juliana and the place being packed, you got awesome photos of Wishes. What kind of camera do you use?

It is a few years old.. It is a Sony Cybershot H5. It has a 12X optical zoom, which is really nice. I like it and I hate it! LOLOL Sometimes it takes the flash a while to recharge and even with pressing the shutter 1/2 way there is a delay. I'm looking at a DSLR next. I think I'm going to go with Canon. Not sure what model though.

Wow, Those are some AMAZING pictures. They look professional. And I'm not just saying that.
I love Wishes. Everynight before I go to bed I always watch something on Youtube. Either Wishes, Spectro, or Illuminations; usually wishes though. It always gets tears in my eyes.
Anyways Jul is so cute. She must of been tired after a full day @ MK. If only we could just fall asleep at MK closing and have someone bring us back, with out having to push through crowds and wait forever for buses. You did get lucky with the busses though. Disney busses hate me! When we stayed at pop; forget.
On my may trip we were waiting for a bus back from the MK at 1 AM for 45 minutes. Then they had to cram us on with YC and BC club too. So only one bus for all 5 resorts every 45 minutes.
Have a good night.

You did a ton better than I did last year. Mine all turned out poopy!
Even your Tink pic. is really pretty good!

I think it's great that the CM you saw earlier recoginized you and engaged you! It's those little things that make for a special trip.

You had a long day, for sure. I can't imagine why Ana was so tired! :confused3

Great shots of Wishes! My hands aren't steady enough for free-hand Fireworks pictures.

And something good did happen last night! Your Yanks weren't completely shut out! Go Phils :yay:

Great wishes pictures! My favorite is the one where the castle is black and there are white fireworks going off in the background! Very nice!

How cute are you and Juliana singing the wishes song! Those are the really great moments in life!

I love Wishes too. We always listen to the Wishes music. I have the video of Wishes on my iPod.

Yes, Juliana was beat. It was a long hot day with no nap! She did really good though.

I was really surprised about the busses going back. I thought the wait was going to be horrible. The All-Stars line was sooooo long. I was surprised to see a manageable POP line!!

Well I didn't post the other 20 horrible pics that I had!!! LOL

I got 2 shots of tink. That was the good one!;)

She was really nice! I wish I could remember her name.:scratchin

You got some really good shots of Wishes! :cheer2: I'm glad Juliana made it through awake!

Denise
I would of been sad if she didn't make it. But it all worked out in the end!:wizard:

Great shots of Wishes! My hands aren't steady enough for free-hand Fireworks pictures.

I get more horrible pics than good ones... I just can't bring a tri-pod into the parks. I have enough to carry!

Congrats to your Phils. We could get a hit last night. Hopefully we take tonights game. The Yankees are Pedro's Daddy!!!!!!! (I hope you know what I'm talking about!)

Great wishes pictures! My favorite is the one where the castle is black and there are white fireworks going off in the background! Very nice!

I was happy I was able to get a couple good finale pics! I like those too!

She sings it just like the singer too! It is really cute! I'm glad my 'real' life friends aren't on this message board. They would be flaming me. I don't care though... they all know I like Disney.(they don't know I'm a DISer!!!!) I am slowly adding Disney clothes to my every day wardrobe. They are like 'nice Mickey shirt' I say thanks.:rotfl:

I don't think I could take pictures like that even if I wasn't holding one of my girls! Your daughter is darling.
:welcome: Thanks for joining!!!! :welcome:

You have to keep the flash off, and keep you hand every steady. If you have a fireworks setting on you camera use it. Unfortunately, I don't so I mess around with the settings till I find something that works for me. :goodvibes

Love the update. Wow those are really great wishes pictures. I have only watched it from in front once in the past 3 trips. And it was acutally off to the side and not a great spot. We watched it from by Pooh in 2008 and this past trip I walked out of Space Mountain to find them going on, so watched them from there. Way back when I took Michael and Paige we did wath it, but I don't think it was called wishes back then.

Love your Wishes update!

That Tink pic is so good! It's really hard to get a good one of her.

You did get some good ones of the fireworks/Castle too!

Haha, oooh Juliana in the stroller lounging...Oh how I remember those days. :rotfl:

Did you say there's beer/wine at the POP food court?

Yay, so glad you guys made it to Wishes. The girls and I sing it all the time. Good pics.

I think the only place to get the full effect is from the front! Were you able to see Tink fly?

Love your Wishes update!

Thanks!!! I had to zoom in and follow Tink to get that pic.

Yea there was about 5-6 different beers and 4? different wines. I think the beer was $5.75 for a 16oz. Having a car you might be better off bringing some and just chill it before you want to drink it. Fill the sink with cold water, add drinks, add ice.. in 7 minutes they are cold enough to drink!!!! :thumbsup2

We made it and the rain held off too!!! Thats cute that you & your girls sing it too!!!!
