a ? about upgrading to APs and DVC discount

I sent an email to WDW asking this question a couple days ago and I haven't heard back yet, I figure if I don't hear back by Tuesday I will call. While I am waiting I figure I would see anyone knows anything here about the question I have.

My DH and I are DVC members so we get a discount off of APs of I think $100. We are going down in May so I can do the Danskin Triathlon. I bought a package through AAA because I got a price from them that was too good to pass up. In the package there are two 2 day passes with the hopper option. I was wondering if it was possible to take those passes and upgrade them to AP's and get the DVC discount...since we are going again in April 2006. It seems if I can do it that it would be the better financal plan. (By my math it would cost us around $300 for the two of us to upgrade to APs.) What do you all think? Do you know if I can do it? And does it sound like a good plan?

Check with AAA what you are getting. Often package tickets are right on your room key.

If you get actual tickets, no problem you can go to GR and use them to upgrade with DVC (I have done that)

The AAA slip they gave me about my trip says we have "two 2 day Hopper Pass" I told the AAA travel agent that I did not want length of stay pass because it would be a waste for me because we would be in meetings for the Tri most of the day on Saturday and didn't know if we would make it into the parks. So I thought that would mean that it wouldn't be attached to the room key or am I wrong? I can't contact our AAA travel agent until after 10am otherwise I would ask her.

Don't hold your breath waiting for a response from Disney via email. Your best bet is to call and ask.

I figured that was the case, but until Tuesday I am running around like a chicken with its head cut off....so that is why I am waiting until Tuesday to call.
