A 5th Disney World Theme Park?!

There are plans to expand and bring in new attractions /themed-lands to the four current WDW parks. There will be many exciting changes to come for the four parks over the upcoming decades, while still giving guests the same quality service they've come to expect.

But at this time there are no plans for a 5th park.

OK, I will join in on the fun. I know, I know don't believe anything a cm tells you, but for what it's worth...the latest rumour we heard last spring was that WS in Epcot was going to be completely revamped and many of the restaurants were going to be adding lounges...Well Mexico has added the Tequila bar...this cm seemed to think that LeCellier was going to be adding a sort of hockey type sports bar...he said that Disney had finally figured out that they had been missing out on revenue based on the type of business that the pub at R&C does...also, the lake itself would be going through an extensive renovation...Now I do not know anything about The World of Color show at DL or DCA but would that be a possibility at WS?
Thoughts?

That is so true, I am a CM and I will openly admit I find out most things from the news or places like this.

Hmmm..... Many of the restaurants adding lounges ,Tequila bar in Mexico, going to add a bar at LeCelliar, they have a bar at Rose and Crown....oh boy, more liquor. Now we can have loud, obnoxious guests all around WS, all year round, and not just during the F&W event! Yippee!! :sad2::guilty:
Have you noticed my sarcasm? Hey, if a person needs to drink to excess, do it at home. Don't annoy others trying to have a nice vacation without loud, obnoxious guests roaming WS.
Boy, am I going to hear it now.............:goodvibes
But to those I say, please, drink in moderation, and don't display your inebreatedness {good word, uh?} out in public. No one else appreciates it.

PS: This is NOT directed towards the poster, it's just me ranting.

PSS: Sorry about going off topic.

PSSS: I am NOT a tetotaler, but I drink responsibly, and do not annoy others in the process. {it's just not considerate}
OK, NOW I'm done! :rolleyes1

Why would Disney create new parks? They found a way to get people to pay for two tickets on one day at the MK. They can close dhs and Epcot at 5, and do a hard-ticket "party" for the night at those parks. It's like having an extra 2 parks without any added building expenses.

I think Disney would like us pay for 3 tickets on a calendar day at MK once they figure out how to do it. Anyone think they haven't thought about it?

I agree with you guys. They still have a lot of rehab and updating to do. Camp Mickey, backlot tour, country expansion and empty pavilions at epcot, etc.

I heard the new park is gonna be called GimmeAllYaMoney Kingdom...All the rides turn you upside down and shake ya till all your money falls out...

Oh man, ya' gave Disneys secret away.................:lmao:

They could shake all they want.....there's no more money to fall out. They already got it all...:)

5th park could be a once heard rumored park named Shadow Kingdom? One based more on Villain themes with more adult type rides i.e. loop coasters abit more intense than Aerosmith etc....still Disney but not so juvenille...there will be no Fantasy Land here other than the Evil Queen...you know what I am saying...

I would like to see a 5th park. I HOPE they build a 5th park! :cool1:

I was thinking something along the lines of a “DisneySea” park, like the one in Tokyo. It could be comprised of attractions from Tokyo DisneySea and have a lot of thrill rides and also include concepts of “beastly kingdom”.

That way they can tap into the Universal thrill-ride demographic (aka – teens/young adults).

I think that if they build "this kind" of 5th park, I would hope that this would be the last major park at WDW. Because they would have tapped into every type of demographic as far as "major theme parks at wdw" are concerned.

5 parks, I think, would be enough. I would also like to see maybe one more water park, but that might be pushing it lol. :tinker:

According to a recent Orlando Sentinel article about Reedy Creek Improvement District's projections for the next 10 years at WDW, they believe that a 5th major theme park should be open sometime between 2014-2018. They also projected two minor theme parks (water park, etc.) within the next two years and over 11,000 new hotel rooms. Most of the new hotel space may be in the new Flamingo Crossings area. Their projections were for the maximum build-out in 10 years. They may not complete everything. It also mentioned that if the maximum build-out was completed, that they wouldn't have much more land available for them to develop. However, they did say that there is still plenty of land to add on to their already developed properties.:hippie:

A fifth theme park with rides similar to the ones at Tokyo Disneysea would be fantastic!
I would love to go to Japan some day, but going to Florida is so much easier!

Nonetheless, Disney needs an answer to Wizarding World!

I think they should do a Wasteland park based on Epic Mickey.
