It looks like most days at DL coming up have the park opening at 8am. Why are there a few that have an opening time of 9am? Anything particular reason?

Disney saving money.

It was like that during our trip. The 8 to midnight that used to be the norm was not.

The 9am openings are mostly on Saturdays which is the one day deluxe APs are blocked during the summer blockouts.

Funny side note from an European tourist...
When I first checked out the park hours I thought 12 am would mean that Disneyland closes at noon... I really thought it would be kind of a weird off-season schedule, but than I saw that it was that way for summer as well and started wondering and did some further googling... :rotfl2:

I am old enough to remember when you could rent Disneyland for a 1:00 night closure , January of 1969

How cool is that? I guess technically you still can. A few years ago I was at DL and they closed early for a celebrity’s birthday party but for the life of me I can’t remember who it was.

We are going on Fri Aug 3rd and I was expecting an 8am opening, but when the official hours came out it was 9am. I just wasn’t sure why it was that day when most of the other summer days are 8am.
