what is the 999 HAPPY HAUNTS EVENT?

It's a Merchandise Event at the Magic Kingdom for the Haunted Mansion. There are usually several packages ranging in price. You pay the extra fee and they usually have some sort of dinner and you're able to purchase special merchandise designed for the event. Disneyland has the Haunted Mansion Holiday Event that is Nightmare Before Xmas themed. They change the mansion for Xmas every year. The Disney Gallery website has info on both events. We've went the past 3 years to the Disneyland Event and love it. I'm sure the WDW event is probably just as great.

I have gone to this event for the past two years. I do like it, and would recommend it, if you like the HM. It's a bit more expensive this year, and as I have a wedding in Pebble Beach on Oct. 1, I will be missing it. On the night of the event, parts of liberty Sq and Frontier land are open. I think they only had HM, BTMRR and Splash open the first year (BTMRR was in rehab last year). They have dinner, psychics, the Headless Horseman, and some other stuff going on. Yes, it's mainly a merch event, so if you are a collector, this is a great opportunity. all the merch revolves around the HM, btw.

Was NOT impressed by last year's event, but LOVED the merchandise.

I'm thinking of skipping the event this year and picking up the good stuff on Ebay.

I agree TDC Nala! We were a little disappointed in last year's event, especially those red plastic cups!
