Good luck.. We did this years ago. The house sold is a very short time. Now, naturally we don't know how or why it sold so fast, but, its just something alot of people do. Anyway, after the house sells, don't forget to dig up the statue and place it in your new house, somewhere visible.

Are you suppose to bury it upside down, the paper I received with mine said not too. And my Townhouse still has not sold and I buried it about 1 month ago, said the prayer for 9 days. But maybe I should bury him upside down and see?

This makes me wonder how many homes have St. Joseph statues lurking below the ground! I wonder if our house has one from the previous owners? Not that I'm about to dig to find out ....

Good luck w/the sale!

My parents bought a "lake house" a few years ago. Dad was digging in the yard planting some shrubs two summers ago and found one.

I found one in the back yard of our house in IL shortly after we bought it. The reason we bought that house was the feeling I got when I looked out the windows at the back yard. I will admit I had a minute of uneasiness when I found a statue of a saint buried upside down in the ground...until I found out why.
