9500 on Fantasy (or Dream)?

I absolutely LOVE stateroom 9000 on the Dream Class ships. Unfortunately it is not available on my Feb trip...but 9500 is.

I know that they are twins - just opposite sides of the ship. BUT 9500 is directly across from the laundry.

What are peoples' experiences with cabins directly across from the laundry? Any extra noise? Or heat?? Considering it's an Ocean View cabin, there is no option to open a balcony door to let extra hot air out. Has it been an issue for anyone?

(Or I guess laundry smells since some detergent is pretty strong (and not to everyone's taste) smelling?)

We stayed right across from the laundry room on the dream deck 7 last summer. No issues with noise or smells. We didn't wash, but it was nice to hop over and use the iron a few times. Also, we are pretty sensitive to laundry smells, only use f/c detergents and no softeners, but had no issues at all when exiting or returning to our room.

How long is your cruise? I wondered what all the fuss was about avoiding rooms near the laundry room until I read a few comments about the chaos with longer cruises. Our cruise was a four day, so there were very few people that I saw doing laundry.

It is a 7 day.

I will probably stay with my 7A so I have an outdoor area to retreat to on Star Wars day.

We stayed in 9510 on the Fantasy and had no issues with noise from the laundry area. We were likely too far away to really comment on smells or heat in the room. I did a load of laundry and didn't experience excessive heat or aroma in the hall or anything. Many machines were running while I was in there (so people were using the room) but we really didn't experience much traffic at any time we were in the hall.
