Does anyone know of a fee to rent points that are in reservation status? I ask because todays email from TTS store list 314 points that way.

Points in reservation status can not be used for DVC Resorts or RCI Exchanges. They can only be used for Disney Collection, Concierge Collection or Adventurer Collection Reservations which require a $95 transaction fee.

That is what i thought, but i was given that as an explaination for the fee.

When you book a vacation at a Disney Collection, Concierge Collection, or Adventure Collection destination, your points are converted from Vacation Points to Reservation Points. If you later cancel that reservation, the points keep that designation. They can no longer be used for the DVC Collection or the World Passport Collection, as the PP indicated.

The collections where Reservation Points can be used all involve a $95 fee. The only exception to this fee would be a few resorts in the Disney Collection (Disneyland California and Hong Kong) where these fees don't apply.

The $95 fee isn't related to the renting per se but is tied most transactions booked using 'Reservation Points' as described above in erionm's post.

I suppose booking Disney Hotels at Disneyland, CA, would not be charged that fee if/when using these points.

So this is where i get confused , the listing reads.
314 points in reservation status. 4/1/13-4/1/14. 10.PP.use for hotels @ WDW and Disneyland. Minimum 3 night stay and 95. Fee. So to me it says DVC. And that's why i'm confused.

DVC=timeshares. not "hotels."

when you exchange DVC pts for non-DVC resorts (in other words, hotels like the poly), you owe a $95 fee plus the points used.

"reservation" pts can never be pulled back to be used at DVC timeshares like BLT, BCV or GCV.
