90+10--any problems for DVC members?

Been reading on the restaurant boards that the new on-line reservation system does not recognize DVC reservation #'s for the purpose of 90+10 dining reservations. And I read at least once where the DVC reservation # wasn't recognized when a person used the phone to try and make 90+10 dining reservations.
Has anyone had problems of this sort--either on-line or by phone?

This has been a problem even before 90+10. The CRO and ADR computers don't talk to the DVC computers. DVC hopes to get the problem fixed in the future. Until then, they suggest that you place your ADR's through MS.

When I made our August ADRs at the 90+10 day the CM couldn't find our reservation by the number I had...but he did find it in the system by looking up our name. I was able to make our ADRs, but my heart stopped for a second when he said he couldn't fin dour reservation number. ---I just HAD to make our ADRs that day, as free dining ADRs started a day later. :lmao:

I know how you feel--each DAY counts now that there it is only 90 days, free dining, etc.
Of course my 90 day window starts on July 5--a Sunday, when MS won't even be open. So there goes 1 day right there. I just may give it a shot and see if the regular dining # can't find my reservation by my name, as they did in your case.
I'd call this situation irritating----.

MS is now open on Sunday.

I keep hearing that after you make them they will appear online but no such luck for me so far....anyone else have this work?

So, basically, DVC members should plan on calling MS if they want to take advantage of the 90+10 window, correct? I can make my first day ADR on-line, but I'll need to call for the subsequent days.

Hi I was able to make my ressies yesterday at the 90 day mark by calling the Disney WDW DINE # I called exactly at 7 AM and was on hold till about 7:40 and then talking to CM until 8:22. The new system puts each day ressie into a "cart" and then at the end they give you the reservation numbers.

DebbieB: You are right--MS is open on Sunday. Was it always that way??
Daisy414: That's almost an hour and a half on the phone!! Think I'll use MS and at least if there is such a long wait the call is free---.
Wonder how many MS reps are on duty on Sundays??:)
Ah well-I'll find out on July 5!!!

I called WDW DINE # at 7am on June 7th and was able to get all my 90 + 10 ADR's. I was on hold for approx. 15 minutes but had no problems at all once I talked with a CM. I was able to get a Fantasmic Dinner Pkg. and Le Cellier for our upcoming trip.

I also was able to call the regular dining line to make ADR's rather than waiting for MS to open. But it still stinks that DVC'ers can't take advantage of online ressies for 90 + 10. I almost wish they had waited to roll out the online ADR's until after free dining was over. We DVC folks don't have a prayer of getting hard to get ressies without spending an inordinate amount of time checking over and over to see if something has miraculously opened up.

Has anyone tried to get CRT ADR's for breakfast and been successful since all of these problems came up? I will be calling Monday and my DD8 really wants to have breakfast at CRT. If I don't get the ressie because I have to wait an extra 1 - 2 hours I will not be happy!!!!

Can someone please explain the 90+10? I knew we could book at 90 days, but what does the 10 represent? Thanks!

You can book 90 days from your arrival day, plus the next 10 days into your vacation. This is a great perk because it gives you the opportunity to book ADRs before they open to the general public. However, with the new online system, that system opens at 6:00 AM and we, DVC members, can not access the +10 part of the system. So we can either lose an hour and call the regular dine-line or lose 3 hours and call MS to make our +10 ADRs. It really stinks that others are able to start getting their +10 an hour before we can. Not fair!

Everyone please complain to MS about this. Only they can put the pressure on Dining and Tech to get it fixed.

There is no reason a new program should have been released that shut out hundreds of thousands of DVC members. :confused3

I guarantee you if this had to do with sales of DVC it would already be fixed.

Thank you for explaining! You're right, it doesn't seem fair to DVC members!:sad2:

I am going in August and I must say that I had the most pleasant experience making my ADRs this year. I am staying on points, with a split stay that crosses into the dreaded Free Dining :scared1:.

I called at 7am sharp on my 90 day mark, I was on hold for 5 min max (somebody has to go first , I guess) and was able to get just about everything I wanted for my 90+10. I was a bit worried about the whole split stay thing, but I didn't mention it and neither did the CM.:thumbsup2

I had no problem with my reservation number--however I have 2 contracts(2 use years, same resort) and used points from both to book my vacation-I received one confirmation letter with one reservation number for our one bedroom at the BWV.
I am not changing resorts, nor am I changing rooms.

One night is booked with the one small add on contract and the rest of the vacation is booked using my points from my main contract.

I called WDW DINE at 7 am 90 days out and was told that I could only book ADRs for that one night since I am checking out.

I explained that I was not checking out, and it was not really a split stay as I was not moving hotels, explained that it was a DVC points issue. He refused to book said it was nto possible for him to do it, the computer just would not allow it to go through. Riiiight:rolleyes:
I asked for a supervisor-she was very nasty and literally would not even let me get a word in-my hsuabnd said he knew it wasn;t going well when all I was saying was Excuse me... excuse me, if I could just tell you...excuse me..excuse me... LOL!
Very frustrating!

I called back not 10 minutes later, deciding to let it go and just book that one night's ADR-got a different person, booked that one dinner and was about to thank her and hang up when she asked me for my next ADR-I said I can book the rest of the week? She said sure! Very friendly, very helpful, no problems whatsoever.

Well, tomorrow marks 90 days out for me, so i'll be trying it out first thing in the am. It's 6am eastern right? I did try it out tonight to see if it at least recognized my confirmation number & it did, but I don't know until tomorrow if I get the +10.

I'll let you guys know tomorrow. :thumbsup2
