Since I was unable to get FP+ for this, I'm trying to plan the best way to see the 9 PM MSEP on the Wednesday night of my trip (5/6) when there is also an 11 PM parade. We will not be staying for Wishes and want to leave immediately following the parade.

Is staking out a spot about 45 minutes prior enough time?

Since we want to leave after the parade, is the better place to view it by the exit? Or should I be looking at Frontierland? And if we are in Frontierland, how do we get out of dodge after?

It might be enough time to find a decent spot near Town Square since most people want to be farther down Main Street and closer to the castle to get in place for Wishes. I would head that way and if you find a spot, great, if not, start working your way down the route towards Frontierland.

If you do watch from Fontierland, then as soon as the parade passes, I would head towards the hub. Whether you come via Adventureland or Liberty Square, there is an outer bridge that you can take to come out in front of Crystal Palace. Follow this to Casey's Corner and then duck through the shops if you cannot get to the street. As you get farther down towards Town Square, it might open up to get out in the open to get to the exit.

Thanks for the suggestions. We'll try to get a spot in Town Square if we can, otherwise we'll make our way towards Frontierland. We are less concerned about being near the castle, as our last trip we had a FP+ spot just in front of the castle and got amazing pics then.
