First, I must say while I was at WDW, I wondered if I could make our trip sound interesting to anyone...but I know how I enjoy reading other trip reports...so here goes. I'm just including daily highlights, plus a brief pre-WDW arrival trip report experiences to remind us all of the Magic. Our family includes myself (39), DH 44, DS 12, DS 6.

We left 6/13 after the kids got out of school and made the 3 1/2 drive to LA, stopping for dinner along the way. We checked into our hotel for our park and fly package. The lady told my husband there was a back door from the parking lot to the hotel and off he went to park the car. The bellhop said he'd meet me and the kids at our room. Well, down the halls, up and down some ramps, through outside courtyards, up some more ramps, down the hall, up the elevator, down the hall, we literally had the room on the top floor at the end of the hall, as far away from the front desk as you can get. But, the card key doesn't work. So the kids and I start back. We get downstairs and sitting in a courtyard with no staff around is our luggage. We wait about 5 minutes, I tell DS 12 to wait there, and DS 6 and I got to front desk. Here comes bellhop saying he was on his way. I tell him key doesn't work, he tells me I don't know what I'm talking about. I tell him my son is watching our luggage so nobody steals it. He says he'll go open room. I go to front desk, there are 20 people in line. Waiting to correct situation....where's my husband by now? They say try husband's key. Wait and wait for husband. He finally comes...there is no back door from parking lot. He later shows me parking lot which is completely fenced in with NO doors. He had to walk about 3 city blocks to get around and into hotel. Go back up, keys don't work. Husband and bellhop go back down, get new room. Still on top floor, but facing street. Too late to go swimming in pool as we had planned. They are repaving street all night long....we get about 2 hours sleep. Finally get up, shower, and go to airport for 8 am flight. Checked in and ready to get on plane at 6 am (but plane's not there, lol). Flight goes well until approaching Orlando. Due to thunderstorms, can't land, have to hold for 1 1/2 hours. Then have to land in Tampa and sit on plane for 1 hour to refuel. Then fly to Orlando. We're here!!! We're exhausted!!!
Rent Car and arrive at Port Orleans. CM Kerry was wonderful and efficient. Also checked us in for our 7 day cruise which was to follow. Talked to us about our anniversary and DS 12 birthday (which was next day). Get to room. Mickey and Minnie have left us an autographed pic wishing us happy anniversary and a box of candy. The Disney Magic has begun!! We rush to throw on our suits and take a dip in the pool before the slide closes (it's about 8:30 pm at this point). Afterwards, eat at the food court and then unpack and go to bed!!!

Hope things get better now that you are in Disney!!
