I can't make up my mind. I want to try both but only have one dinner left. I've decided to compromise and try one for lunch and one for dinner. Which is best for lunch and which for dinner?

Another question: Is Yachtsman Steakhouse worth the double TS credit? I know the prices are stratospheric. Is the food and service worth it?:confused3

I would do nine dragons for lunch- i don't think the menu changes that much there for dinner (not that rose and crown really does either). So it really wouldn''t matter too much. But if you time rose and crown right, you might be able to see illuminations from there while you are eating.

Nine Dragons has been getting decent reviews lately. We are giving it a try ourselves in September. We absolutely love Rose & Crown.

I say go to R&C for dinner and try Nine Dragons for lunch.

Enjoy you trip!

the rose and crown has gone down hill.the last 2 trips we didnt even bother with it,,the food is under cooked and they cannt count change right at the take out window,,we used to go every trip,,but not anymore..we go 3 to 4 times a year to disney,,now we eat off grounds ,,but if your starved i would eat at the chinese food place at epcot..its not bad,,or mexico

Like them both..... But Rose & Crown is great for dinner if you can get it late to watch Illuminations from the patio.

Like every other restaurant in WDW you'll get comments that the restaurant is the worst ever right after the comments that it's the best. Highly subjective. IMHO, you should eat where you want and form your own opinions.

Rose & Crown is better for dinner. Trust me. ;)

The Yachtsman Steakhouse was excellent and the service impeccable. It's definitely worth it! My boyfriend does like Narcoossee's slightly better for steak and mussels though. Both are amazing choices!

We dine at Nine Dragons everytime we are at Disney. The food is terrific and the service as well. We will be there for dinner during our visit there in Sept. I have never visited Rose & Crown so I can't comment on it. However, Nine Dragons is GREAT!:dogdance: Try their Ma Po Tofu.

Nine Dragons offers nothing in the way of food (or themeing) you can't get at your local Chinese restaurant at home. If you just really like Chinese food and want to pay twice what it usually costs, go for it but R&C probably offers a little more unique dining experience. (at twice the usual cost as well!)

Hahah, very true! Come to think of it, you can probably get everything at a huge discount outside of Disney. I agree with you, at Disney, it's all about the dining experience, the decor, and the atmosphere. Food comes second.

Depends on what type of food you like. Personally I wouldn't fancy chinese food for lunch, but then R&C is amazing for dinner if you can get seats on the decking or patio outside - front row seats for illuminations. Plus, compared to some of the other TS restaurants eg Le Cellier/Chefs, its much cheaper!

I've only heard negative things re 9 Dragons. And I have never eaten at Rose and Crown altho my sister and husband have many times and love the fish and chips.

I have eaten at Yachtsman Steakhouse (last Thanksgiving). It's pricey, but was very good. If you want a good steak and great service, it's the place to go. My aunt has allergies and the chef actually came out from the back and spoke with her table side. He even tweaked a couple of items for her. Outstanding service.
