Cast of characters,DH 51 and myself 48. We are usually part of a Grand Gathering so just the two of us is a little unusual.Dates 9/22-10/1. Most of these meals were based on recommendations by you my fellow Dis'ers. And as usual you did not disappoint:thumbsup2
Most of the time we arrived 15-30 mins. before our ADR time and almost everytime they sat us right away.

9/22 Arrived late in the afternoon and after checking into OKW decided to go to Magic Kingdom and Pinocchio Village Haus. DH and I shared a Turkey Panini and Figaro Fries. Both were awesome. The Figaro Fries did not disappoint, very messy but very good.

9/23 Breakfast at Boma before driving to Tampa to see the Red Sox play. Had never eaten at Boma before and you guys are right on the money about this place. We loved it, very good breakfast choices. The Frunch and coffee were both excellent. So nice to have some good coffee at Disney.

Got back from Tampa early evening after watching our Red Sox lose:sad2: were tired and decided to just eat at Olivia's. Did not have an ADR but they took us in after about a 5 min. wait. DH got Penne with chicken and sundried tomato's he loved it. I got Chicken pot pie with a biscuit, it was a little different than your usual pot pie, but very, very good. In fact I ate too much and didn't have room for the Key Lime Tart I wanted for dessert:guilty:

Sounds good so far! Originally from Saugus by the way, played Marblehead in many field hockey games back in the late 80's!

Excellent, looking forward to reading more.

Great start, looking forward to reading more reviews. :tinker:

Well let the eating continue;)

9/24 Breakfast Kona Cafe got there early and seated right away. I heard so much about the Tonga Toast had to try it. I got the Tonga Toast and DH got the Macadamia and Pineapple pancakes and we split them. Both were so delicious, didn't even need the maple syrup with the Tonga Toast it is sweet enough all by itself. Also had the pressed pot of coffee,it was good but I liked the coffee at Boma better. And their Lilikoi juice was good. Our server was Theresa, she was excellent.
Lunch was an ice cream at Typhoon Lagoon:)
Did the photo session at Grand Floridian and then went over to Epcot for a quick bite to eat. Ended up getting a fastpass for Soarin and ate at Sunshine Season while we waited. DH got a Caesars Salad and I got Turkey and Muenster Cheese on Foccacia,we were both pleasantly surprised that both were so good. Just the right amount of food too.

9/25 MGM day so we got breakfast at ABC Commissary. We both a egg, bacon and cheese bagel. It was edible that is all I can say and the coffee, couldn't even drink it.Got snacks at Starring Rolls. Dh got Banana Split Mousse and I got a Napolean, both were very good. Got an iced coffee here which was nothing more than hot coffee that they threw ice in. By the time I added sugar and cream the ice was melted, but I was desperate and drank it:coffee:
Dinner was at Kona Cafe got here ealy but they didn't seat us until our ADR time, place was hopping.DH started with the Sticky Wings which he loved and I thought were a little to spicy. I got the Crab Cakes which were awesome. DH got the Filet Mignon and I got the Beef Teriyaki both were excellent so were the mashed yukon gold potatoes. The desserts here are unbelievable, DH got the Apple Brown Betty with vanilla ice cream which was good. I got the Caramel Banana Brulee which was very good. While the food was excellent here the service was just ok,she seemed like she couldn't have been bothered by us,like ok let's get on with the next party.

Coming tomorrow 9/26 Magic Kingdom and 9/27 Epcot

Yum, looking forward to your reviews. I think we are going to try Kona for dinner in April. :thumbsup2

Let's see if I can finish this review.

9/26 Magic Kingdom day started with breakfast at Crystal Palace as it usually does:) We just love eating here, gotta love that Breakfast Lasagna:thumbsup2

Lunch was at Cosmic Ray's, DH got a barbecue pork sandwich and I got a turkey-bacon roll-up,both were really good but my sandwich was huge I only ate half.

Dinner was Liberty Tree Tavern, a first for us. Our first family style meal and we liked it very much. Food was good as was the service.

9/27 Epcot Day. We had a quick bite back at the resort as we were booked for the 8:30am Segway Tour. After the tour we had breakfast at Sunshine Seasons, both of us got scrambled eggs, bacon and homefries. It was not bad, I would grab a quick bite here again. In the afternoon we grabbed a School Bread from Norway to split. Once again you guys didn't let me down it was very good:thumbsup2

Dinner was at Cape May Cafe-Clam Bake Buffet. This buffet had a great variety of foods. I did not eat any clams because I just didn't think they could be as good as the clams I am used to. I did like the ribs, seafood pasta salad,Caesar salad and there was another pasta that was very good. ANd I am not usually a pasta person. The desserts here were very good.

9/28 Had donuts in our room before heading to Magic Kingdom. Lunch was at Cloumbia House. DH had Tuna Salad and I had ham and cheese and coleslaw sand. We both like our selections. I only ate half the sand. it was just too much food.

Dinner was at Boma. This was our first time eating dinner here. This was our favorite meal of the trip. If you have never eaten here you are missing a GREAT meal. Can't even remember everything I tried. I do remember the prime rib and some good salads. And for dessert you are in for a treat, there was a peach cobbler with a chocolate sauce and banana bread pudding with a vanilla sauce they were delicious. Tried the Zebra Domes wasn't too impressed with them.

9/29 Animal Kingdom Day. Donald's Breakfastsaurus we had done this breakfast last year and liked it,this time it was just ok. Probably didn't help we were seated in the boonies far away from the buffet. Food was just ok,did like the Krispy Kreme donuts.

Lunch was at FlameTree Barbecue. We both had barbecued pork sandwichs. Not as good as we remembered from a few years back. We thought they were a little dry. Beans were good. We will give it another try on a future trip.

Dinner we just went back to Pinocchio Haus and got the same meal as day one.

9/30 Breakfast at Chef Mickey's another breakfast we love to do every trip. We had a late lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern before MNSSHP. DH ordered William Penn Pasta and I had the New England Pot Roast both were excellent.
For dessert DH got strawberry shortcake which needed more juice. I got the grilled pound cake with caramel pecan sauce,it was sooooo good.

10/1 Checkout day just got a quick breakfast at OKW Goode's to Go. Wasn't that good. We had 4 extra counter service meals leftover so we bought a family of 4 breakfast.

Hope this helps someone with their meal planning.

That was very nice of you!! We had extra snack credits and 2 extra counter service credits for our Sept trip. We also used them on other guests. It was fun!
