With all the planning I've been doing, I thought I'd be rejoicing in reaching the single digits. But now I feel like there's still so much to do. :confused3 I've got all my PS, planned which park on which days, confirmed air and car resies, got all my meal vouchers, and started a packing list.

Now I'm thinking I need a ride by ride itinerary. I was going to just follow general touring principals but not be so rigid with my plans. But I'm getting nervous that my early Dec trip will be more crowded than expected and touring plans will be crucial. Any thoughts?

12 day countdown for us. I agree, I was also going to skip the ride-by-ride itinerary, at least for our first week, but I'm starting to make the detailed itinerary now. Just in case.....

What are your travel dates?

We'll be there Dec 8-13.

I'm just getting nervous because I wasn't able to get some of the PSs I wanted, the Dec 10 MVMCP sold out, found out Pop Warner will be there, just all kinds of little happenings that are making me think its going to be crowded. Also some of the park hours were extended by 1 hour.

We're there the 8-13, too. I never do a ride-by-ride itinerary, but I am wondering how crowded it'll be. I'd say if you have time, try to plan out your days so that you feel more relaxed. It's no fun stressing about an upcoming trip- you should be excited! Maybe you won't need to use the itinerary you come up with, but you'll be prepared in case it's necessary.

I'll be there during those dates. I don't usually do a ride by ride itinerary, myself.

I'm a little concerned about the crowds too but feel no need to do a ride by ride itinerary. I would just suggest making a list of your must-dos so that you don't miss something you really want to do. We are taking our 13 month old at the time for the first time and I'm just making lists of what all I think she will really enjoy in each park. I'm a huge planner and I only have 3 PS's made. And I only plan on making 1 or 2 more and cancelling 2 of the one's I have made. It will be a great trip regardless of the crowds. We went December 01, and 02 and never waited for anything....so even if it is a little more crowded what's 10-15 minutes? Relax it will be great!!

I'm not too worried about the crowds/lines either...we have been many times before and we just love going in December to soak up the atmosphere and get in the holiday spirit...we are just fine if we cannot ride on every single ride because we have actually done them all before...if it takes all day to just ride our very favorites then we can live with that...just being at Disney and enjoying our resort will be a pleasure...

I have reached the less than one week marker and I am starting to get flustered too!

I have 3 PS's made, and a general plan of which park for three days. The other three and a half days with my Dad there I don't have planned. It'll be his first time there and once he sees what the World has to offer, I want to give him the freedom to choose.

I went in Dec '00 and it was great albeit a bit chilly. I've been checking the weather and so far it looks good!

The best advice is to make a list of things that you HAVE to do. Get those things done (more than once if you like) and then everything else is gravy! There's too much there to do everything!

We leave in 2 more days and I'm stressed out! Still have to pack and I'm currently printing out my travel docs. I will be out of town most of tomorrow and so I have only today to pack, print all the docs out and hit the bank. I'm not even excited this time and I've tried everything under the sun to get in the Disney mood. I'm hoping once we get on the road my mood will change.

We leave in two weeks. I'm usually packed by now but not this trip. Just started my packing list, and finished my Must do list. I say have a must do list , and be pre-pared for it to change. Just enjoy and just think you will be in Disney soon. Have fun. :flower1:

That's why I need it! :earboy2:

We're going in a little over a week, and I just pulled out the suitcases yesterday! Good thing I pulled my DS' sweats out of the closet and tried the new ones on him already.

I feel flustered myself because I am usually more on top of things and I usually allow myself the weekend before the trip to pack, etc. This time, we have commitments that weekend and I wasn't able to take the day before departure off like I usually do either.

Plus finishing Christmas cards, shopping, etc. Whew! No wonder we're all stressed out! :faint:

I keep reminding myself that as long as we have our tickets, credit cards, and prescriptions, we're set. After all, Target and Walgreens are right across the street from our hotel! :rotfl:

i just wanna go already! :hyper:

"Ride by ride" itinerary?

Nah, I've laid out a detailed "Drink by drink" itinerary for EPCOT, though. And I'm not a drinker. Guess I'm going to be pretty relaxed for my stay. I'll read about your rides when I get back...

:cool1:

BTW: It's vacation..."down time". Don't plan out everything to the second or it will become work!

Y'all relax and enjoy yourself. Things will be fine...

I've been worried about crowds too, since we'll have a newbie with us this trip. My sister's fiance hasn't been since he was 6 yrs old! But, I keep telling myself we'll all be back in May for their wedding, so if we don't get to everything, we still have more time on our AP's!

Well, here we are leaving on Sunday and I'm not ready. Still haven't packed, haven't gone to get traveler's checks, etc. Don't feel so bad.... LOL!

I am with ya! Feeling the same way- BUT I am not too concerned with crowds- I was there the same week in 2000 and MVMCP sold out for many of the dates- including the night that I was there. The MVMCP was EXTREMLY crowded and uncomfortable. All of our other park days were great- small lines, small crowds. We chose to skip MVMCP this trip to avoid dealing with crowds.

I SO know what you mean! We have 4 days and I'm in PANIC mode!!!!!!!!! We've been going to DIsney every year in Dec for 7 years but its still overwhelming trying to remember EVERYTHING!

LOL! I email myself at home from work everyday with reminders. When I get home, I usually find at least 4 or 5 emails from me. :upsidedow

Whew! After reading all of these posts, I don't feel so bad. I'm leaving in a few days and am not as prepared as I usually am before a Disney trip. I think it is the added pressure of getting all of the Christmas stuff done before I leave as well.

Everyone have a great trip and enjoy!!!!

:D
