9 Day DDP Reviews

k.. I don't what subscribing means. Where is this option? These are great reviews thus far. Our family is going in April and have yet to make our ADR's so I'm really finding these helpful

No ADR's yet? Run, don't walk to the nearest phone and make an ADR for Le Cellier. It fills up super fast and you will be glad you did.

I know I'm definitely doing the Le Cellier-if we can get in but that's all I know for sure. I think Beaches and Cream as a counter service-based on a dessert picture I saw on another post...infact it's all I'm thinking about right now. I was going to do Rain Forest Cafe but it doesn't look like it's on the DDP. Any other must haves? I really enjoy my food. Oh ya and Chef Mickeys for the kids

Great reviews! Looking forward to more!
You're got to love Chip! How great that must have been!:cool1:

This was the one place at which I wanted to eat on our trip above all others. I was a bit worried that my expectations were too high - but they were met and even exceeded.

FQ: 11/10 (Spinal Tap fans?)
The only dish that did not meet my expectations was the cheese soup that is so raved about. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't phenomenal - but we don't drink so don't often cook with beer - so perhaps that different taste threw us off.
I had the filet mignon and my wife had the squash ravioli.
She said her ravioli was okay- it just wasn't really her type of food. However, my steak was perhaps the best I've ever eaten. I will admit I only eat steak every so often when we eat somewhere nice, but have had many others steaks on property and I grew up near Chicago and have had many steaks in the city. This dish beat them all. Cooked perfectly. Seasoned perfectly. It was even a good size.

FV:10/10
If we were paying out of pocket, it would have been worth every cent. Next time we visit without the dining plan, I will definitely pass on the appetizer and dessert and just order a steak and enjoy the amazing bread selection(especially the pretzel bread!).

AT: 8/10
The atmosphere was nothing special. It was very quiet and a short walk to the restroom (a bonus for my pregnant wife). If we were to rate the walk to the restautant past all of the waterfalls & rocks - that would be a 10!

So glad you enjoyed LeCellier, we do too!! Their mussel appetizer is one of our favorite dishes.:thumbsup2

My wife and I split a DDP TS credit for this meal.
We had the fried cheese, old glory burger and poundcake for dessert.

FQ: 8/10

We had eaten there for dinner on our last trip, and weren't expecting much for lunch - but the food was pretty good. The burger was cooked perfectly and the dessert was nice b/c it was something different than everywhere else.

FV: 8/10
The burger was huge (more than enough to split). However - the size of the fried cheese order was noticeably smaller than the pics we had seen on the board. The meal would have definitely been worth our $ OOP since we split and were both full afterwards.

AT: 7/10
Nothing special.
It was very quiet when we ate (around 11:15).
Our server even split our meal onto two plates since we were sharing - it was a nice touch.

Thanks for taking the time to write reviews.

I am looking forward to reading more :goodvibes

Subscribing means you can get an email notification whenever there's a new post here.

You can subscribe either by posting (as you did) or by using the "thread tools" key at the top of the thread.

While I haven't been to Disney in 19 years, everything I've read here has said to book ADRs ASAP. So why not book the ones you think you want today... you can always make some changes down the road.

Now, let's return to our normally scheduled broadcast. I'm enjoying it tremendously!!

Love your reviews :cheer2: Thanks for putting the time into being so thorough!

I had: the bruschetta, spicy italian sausage, & crema limone.
My wife had: The mozzarella and tomatoes, pork chop (not on the menu), and a chocolate torte/cake.

FQ: 8/10
This may very well be due to preference. We didn't think the bruschetta had enough flavor and the crema limone was just okay. However - the main dishes were excellent and very large and my wife's chocolate dessert was (in her words) "amazing." I am a big guy and couldn't finish all of my pasta. Another visit will definitely be in the plans for entrees only - no appetizer or dessert(unless my wife insists on the cake again!).

FV: 8/10
For the large portion sizes, the price OOP would have been fine - fairly reasonable by WDW standards.

AT: 8.5/10

It is nestled far in the back of the park - so it was not busy at all - many empty tables only 3 days before Christmas. It was quiet, very nicely decorated, and we were seated within 5 minutes of checking in. Our server, Youness, was wonderful and not pushy at all.

not to hijack-but that counts as table service...

Hi
Please tell me how you were able to share a TS meal. I didn't think they allowed that? My husband loves to eat so it is probably not possible with us :rotfl: but I am curious.
Thanks!

Thanks!

The only places at which we tried it were Kona and Liberty Tree, but we just told them we were sharing a TS credit and they were fine with it. However - we did tip extra (as if we had purchased 2 meals) since the server technically lost a meal.
