I was hoping to get this finalized this afternoon, but please let me know over the weekend if you can. I know there are others out there that I also haven't heard from.... We had 36 in the original count, now we have 12 "yes" with only 5 "no". That means 19 of you have not responded one way or the other. Sorry I don't have the orginals names, since I am without my computer and limited time to search for my last post or I would send PMs.
Let me talk to Mike again about this- I am pretty sure you can count us in- I will let you definately know by Saturday :)

HiYaPal
I hope everything is ok! Car accidents are no fun!

Maybe it just depends on the baggage person whether you get the extra tag or not. it could also be that on the longer cruises they feel sorry for us so they let us have an extra tag. I should have just enough tags, but in case I don't I wanted to know my options.

I've never done this before, but Buddy & I did pick up some Party Favor type goodies for everyone. And by everyone, I mean 200 or less of us. However, because our contribution is so small (read cheap), we planned on anonymously putting in them in the fish extenders.

If, however, I find in my fish extender, a gift certificate that covers the cost of a future cruise :cool1: , or something of similiar value, I hope the gift giver will make themselves known so I will know who to thank!! ;)

:thumbsup2

Sounds like a plan! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I buy a case of water at Walmart before we go to the Port and then just put the individual bottles of water in our suitcases and it works out really well. I use the Vacuum Storage bags so we wind up with a lot of extra room in our bags and the water fits in there nicely.

You can carry almost anything onboard the ship. When we went on the PC cruise and the 1st West coast cruise (21 days on the Magic) we packed 21 bottles of wine in two carryon suitcases. The only tough part was lifting them onto the Xray machine at the port and dragging them around till the cabin was ready. Any fluid would have to be bought in FL as the airlines won't let the fluids in carry ons or checked bags. Alex

Heidi and I have labeled ours but it was easy for us to do with what we are giving.

The computer worked hard to boot up so who knows if it will last long. I will have to stay on it all day to accomplish things on my list of "to do's". I shouldn't even be on it. We are having lots of lightning right now.

HiYaPal, sorry about the accident. If you hurt today, it will be worse in a couple of days. I was in a very minor accident (no, not my fault) and it took a couple of days to hit and then WOW. Take care of yourself.

Glad to hear that I won't be the only one not puting a name on my fish extender gifts.

We leave for WDW in 7 days. It is really crunch time now.

Duds are fun...just makes it more realistic...you try to pop it and the air moves into the next one...you try to pop that one and the air flows back to the first one...after several futile tries it will give you a clue. Maybe you'll get a couple next time! I was in manic mode when I got mine.

Neck update: Doc gave me some muscle relaxers and ordered physical therapy. Said it should be better in about two to three weeks. I said it better be better in 12 -13 days!!! ;) Thanks again to everyone for heir well wishes.

With all the talk about writing names on the fish extender gifts. I was going to suggest we all meet to learn Calligraphy. I thought we could do it in Steph's room during the Wine Tasting Party. Then Buddy reminded me that drinking and good penmanship don't mix. :teeth: Good thing everyone agrees that it's a "do what you want kind" kind of thing.

Also big news! I actually made a fish extender. I'm not promising a picture, though. Buddy & I leave this Thursday so I have a lot to do this weekend.

Anyway, I was at Walmart and they had the most fabulous Disney fabric squares. I wouldn't have thought to look at WalMart for that kind of stuff! Guess I'll have to shop there more than once every 3 months.

I don't have a sewing machine and although I would consider myself creative, I'm not at all crafty. When my family would craft together, my mom always made me paint the basecoat white. When and if it ever dried, she'd touch it up and decorate. With skills like this, I used hem tape and an iron (to press seams) and was able to make something quite serviceable.

Now how does one go about attaching these to the fish head? Do I need ribbon or a dowel rod, or a paper punch? How do the afore-mentioned FISH EXTENDER CLUBS get attached?

Are y'all this much fun IRL? :rotfl2:

I bet it looks great!
I think most people are puting a rod throught the top -- I don't know how the *club* is attached! We leaving that up to Sandy to explain. :rotfl: :rotfl:

As Valerie is already driving me crazy and we haven't even begun the WDW segment of the trip let alone the 10 night cruise segment, please address the aforementioned gift certificates to which she refers to "Terry and GUEST " If you could have seen the color background for my pouch on the fish extender as she initially planned it!!! I spell my name with a "Y" , not and "I" or IE" and it was PINK !! , so if any of you are doing dishes and end up with some soap suds still in the sink when you're through, feel free to bottle it up for Valerie as her bubbles. :rotfl2: And she limited me to only 4 ice cream sandwiches today! :Pinkbounc <--- There, Valerie, are you satisfied? :rotfl2:

For a guy who wore pink oxford shirts to work so often that his kids talk about it to this day, you wouldn't have thought he'd be so touchy about THE ONLY EEYORE FABRIC IN THE WHOLE COUNTY, but hey, I fixed that.

Here's a pic of Terry & I at WDW last Christmas. He was going for a Dickensian look, while I was just trying to be cute.

I tried to get the fish extender pic up too but I have to resize it and I'm not so good at that.

Oh, I guess it wasn't as hard to resize as I thought. Here's a picture of the Fish extender.

Your fish extender looks great... I got those same squares!!! Only I got the Brave Little Tailor one!

Pooh_Friend#1 don't worry you can still bring liquids in checked luggage. It is only the carry ons you can't have liquids in.

Im so glad RickA mentioned the FL Resident Rates for December. I just booked us a long weekend in December. Cant beat $64 a night. We still have one day left on our passes and we have never been to disney before at xmas time so I am excited to see all the decorations.

VALERIE,
I think you succeeded in being cute. :bitelip: I don't, however, think anyone in Charles Dickens era wore a Mickey top hat

I had heard that initially Southwest would not allow liquids in checked luggage. You might have to check with your airline. Some are more strict than others. Alex
