When we went on the Wonder last week, we arrived at 2:30PM, went right thru the checkin process and were on the ship quickly. Have you checked in on the DCL website? We filled out all the forms in advance, printed one form which needed to be signed and brought with us. Hope it goes smoothly for you. Alex

Thanks! Yup, I've got all of that signed and printed out in it's folder sitting by the door.

LOL I guess the closes I've ever cut it was on a Carnival cruise. When we got to the port, we had 15 minutes to board the ship. That was a Nightmare!
I was so mad at the people I was traveling with, I could have spit fire. :furious: Some people should just stay HOME!

We've done all our forms already and printed the necessary ones. I hope it saves some time at check-in - Parrot Cay is calling :thumbsup2

I have been reading posts about other Dis meets and this is something I thought we should consider --

We've held ours at 3pm on deck 10 overlooking the goofy pool. We tried one at sailaway one time and you couldn't hear because of the party plus everyone else on the ship was there at the same time.

Where/when have others here held their Dis meets once onboard?

Hi Steph,

I know we have a mandatory drill at 4 p.m. On our last cruise we were on deck 10 and then went down to deck 9. Why not meet at the basketball courts on 10????? No one is playing basketball before the cruise. It is windy but our whole cruise was last year. Just set up a time before drill or after drill. If it rains, just state which lounge. You have been our fearless leader.
Why don't you decide. You have done everything perfect so you make the call where and when. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

This sure will help. Last year DCL made us stand in a line to check to see if we filled out the forms correctly before we even stood in line to check in. It took us over 2 hours. This time we filled out the web pages and we will go to castaway club. Hopefully things should breeze right thru. :rotfl2:
So glad we will finally get to meet you. You are infamous :worship:

For Sally and I that means we might miss the party. We won't get to the port until around 2. So it will depend on how fast we can get through the lines at the terminal. I don't know if anyone else will have this problem or not.

By 2 pm there probably won't be much of a line, I think. The biggest influx is before noon.

I'll be MIA most of tomorrow. It's my birthday and we have a few family things planned. Yep...I'll be 46 instead of 45 for our sailing:lmao: . It's OK...you're as young as you feel...right? My mom's is next week. She'll be 75! We celebrate them at the same time since they are less than a week apart.

Happy Birthday, Crystal :bday:

Wan, slow down and take a deep breath! Inhale, Exhale, Inhale, Exhale.
Feel better?

Sounds like you are in a whirlwind of activity!

Try and take one thing at a time and everything will work out OK.

I second micmse's motion... you decide Steph
I totally agree, we could go around and around discussing this and miss the cruise!!! I think I am going to buy a gold ears headband just like Sandy's and then you won't know which one you are talking to, LOL Actually you will because this is really Valerie's DF Terry, or Buddy writing this. Just wanted to say "Hi" :moped: :moped: <--- It says this is a Moped, but I'm pretending that it is my electric mobility cart.

In Feb, we got there about 12:30 and it was a MAD HOUSE! It was after 2 before we got to even board the ship. They wouldn't let us even get in line to check in, until someone had checked our booklet. Then we went to another line that took forever!!! But once we got through the line it was all good. I don't think I would ever get in the early crowd. Standing there in line and then being given a number to wait to be called would drive me nuts.

It's a hurry up and wait game.

I love this time I getting to print out my forms and have the CC line to get into.

Wan and Stephanie...

Please include in your postings that I am supplying Fish Extender "Clubs" for anyone that wants one...

Please remember that you will need scissors or nail clippers to remove the "club" at the end of the cruise. :fish:

Just out of curiosity....
Having NEVER cruised out of Florida...
With so many previous DCL cruisers...
Isn't the CC line LONGER than any other line?

Is anyone able to make on-line activity reservations? I've been trying and keep getting error messages. I don't believe everything is booked and am looking for advice/help in adding a few excursions.

Thanks, Bob

I would have thought that also, but there was NOBODY in that line, because those are the first to get qued up. The first timers stand in a ride like line that runs back and forth several times. The CC line is one short line with a very stern CM asking for your CC card. :rotfl: They both end up at the same spot. A LONG line of CM's waiting to check you in. But as a CC you get qued up first to take the next open CM. People who didn't know what the line was, were getting upset because those people kept getting ahead of them.

It's not longer because they don't all arrive at the same time. I can, however, be long. Once we had to wait about 20 minutes and last time we had to wait 2 minutes. It all depend on how many people are trying to check in when you are.

THANK GOODNESS you posted that because I would not have thought to bring my CC card! :scared: :faint: :scared1:

Is there anything else I should know about checking in?... I have already done the "online check-in" thing and printed up my "sign-it" sheet... do I need one for each person... or just one?

BTW... I LOVE your signature picture... where is it taken?

LOL your welcome!! I had but mine up and had to look hard to find it. It's now with my passport. I'm thinking it's one per cabin. Because Sally didn't need one. You can go back and it should walk you step by step through what you need.

Thanks, I took it last year in Fiji.
