The 6 hour flight is the only downside to the cruise. We have to work on Disney to base a ship on the West Coast.Mary

Only 6 hours !!!!

We have a 3 hour drive to the airport then a 9 hour flight :crazy2: to get to Orlando (coming back though it's less than 8 hours) :cool1:

We saw Pirates on Friday evening too! It was GREAT!! pirate: :thumbsup2 I bought our tickets online through movietickets.com and we walked right in when we got there. It was sooo easy!

Here's one I purchased on eBay. I plan to split it into three strips, using only one with the Mickey hand attached at the top. I also purchased a mesh laundry bag from the same seller for the ONE day I plan to do a couple of loads of washing on the ship:laundy: .

DGT - Your organizer is SO CUTE! :goodvibes

Hey Crystal, good find. :thumbsup2 That's actually a Baenie Baby holder, that Disney was selling when beanie babies were a hot item. I know when I worked at the Disney store, I think I left most of, if not all of my pay check. I have close to 700 Disney beanie's. DH said we need to start downsizing if we want to retire in 5 years :hourglass to Florida.

I saw that one, but couldn't figure out how to use it as it is too wide...Great idea about splitting it up.
About the mesh laundry bags... I found them at Wal-mart for $2.

Ok guys, you are talking way too much for me. This old antique computer with dial up is taking all day just to load one page. I have to read 4 pages. Sheez! ;)

Still no fish extender. Heidi what are we going to do???? :confused3 I bought Nemo cotton material to make three but really am afraid that it won't be stiff enough. :confused3 Any of you crafters know is starch would be good enough?

In reference to leaving goodies in people's fish extenders:

My understanding is yes, if you want to participate. Do not feel that you have to - kwim?

I don't feel that I have to but I definately want to. Can anyone give ideas? I don't want to spoil anyones surprises, just a general idea would help. This all sounds like sooo much fun.

I'm not sure what the name of it is (used to be called wonder under) but there is an iron on stiffener sold by the yard, just ask at the fabric store, they will know what you mean. Good luck

Sandy... the one that I have is made of canvas like material, I think it is called duck fabric.. anyway, that is on the back, then the cutsie Mickey fabric is on the front with canvas like pockets. it is not really stiff, but it is sturdy feeling... and it hangs well.

This will only be our second cruise, but DISer's left all kinds of things ON our door or hooked to our fish (we didnt' have an extender)... we were given Disney pins, glow sticks, tattoos, welcome notes, DISmeet invitations, necklaces, pirate twinkly pins. We looked forward to searching our door each time we left our room.

There is definately a downside to international travel! Luckily when I flew to Hong Kong w/dh there was plenty of room on the plane. Dh and our 3 older kids have done more international travel then I have. ;)
If 5dd does well on this cruise then we are thinking about doing either the Med cruise or just a trip to Rome.
And our Disney cruising adventures started because we changed our plans from a Fall 2005 trip to Germany to an Oct Land/Sea trip! LOL!

Here is a picture (I hope) of the fish extender I made of remnant material that I had from some of my crafts. :thumbsup2
Thanks sandysplayhouse for the info on how to post a picture.

We added black puffy paint with our names on 1 of the pockets. A suggestion for the Nemo material. Buy a small piece of white quilted material and just make pockets with Nemo. I used black quilted material, black binding tape, and red mickey icon material for the pockets. I just doubled the material to make it stiffer. Hope this helps.

Good luck on the pink.

how did you find the fish extenders on ebay? What did you search under?

I searched for "hanging pocket organizer... which turns up tons of them... some with up to 80 pockets... so if you specify 3 pockets or 5 pockets you will have better luck.

You did a great job on your extender! I love the Mickey fabric.
