I am so envious of all of you meeting up in DisneyLand before the cruise.....take me with you.

By the way. I am jealous of all of you meeting in Disneyland.

I'm envious of the Disneyland Dis meet. I haven't been to DL since I was 14 years old. I'm sure it has changed a lot since then.

We can pick-up people at Burbank Airport on the way out to DL .

I'll take pictures also... I wish EVERYone could come to Disneyland... guess I'll have to eat some Pizza for you, and some popcorn, ... and maybe a Churro... and maybe.. ummmm let me see... I'll have ... a Mickey ice cream bar!

Your welcome! I wouldn't have been except my brother was on a EMT rescue last night and I was up listening to him on the radio. Everytime he goes out we all hold our breath until we hear him go off the scene. Now it's morning and I'm exhausted, but then again I know he is even more so than I. After I knew he was off the cliff and out of danger I went to sleep.

We decided to take the Disney Cruise at the last minute..I'm glad I came across this forum!! I haven't taken a cruise before so this should be fun! Can't wait! Steph5, thanks for replying with the info.. I'd like to sign up for the ladies luncheon and the wine tasting.. Did I see somewhere that lime green is to be worn the day we set sail? Also, I haven't recieved my documents yet and was trying to do some planning. Maybe someone out there may know have some answers? Is the oceaneers club open on the day of departure? The only available seating at Palo's is that Thursday Also, does anyone know if the motion sickness wrist bands really work? the following is our info..can't wait to meet you all!

Some article of DIS green was suggested for embarkation day so we could spot each other.

You can make Palo reservations when you board. They only set so many aside for pre reservations.

I don't know about the Oceaneers club.

I have used the wrist bands but was using the patch behind my ear at the same time. Several other people swear by them, though.

Welcome Marcy. We ALWAYS take meclazine. Brand name is bonine. We take it from day one and have never gotten sick. We even were on the outskirts of a Hurricane last Aug. Many people got sick but we didn't. Even Cast Members were sick. We figure why risk it. We spend lots of money on the cruises why not take it JUST IN CASE. Once you start feeling sick it is too late.

Back to making more fish extender gifts.

As far as fish extender gifts, Heidi and I are giving one per stateroom.

I have 1 that is per person & the rest are mostly per stateroom.

I found some GREAT deals on a few things that 15dd (Pirana) & I think are pretty neat! If you don't like them pass them on to others!

I swear by Bonine - it's all I took when I worked on a cruise ship for two years. My DH takes ginger capsules. You can get either Bonine or ginger at Walmart. You can also get ginger at health food stores but it is 10 times the price. The key thing is to take it BEFORE you feel quesy. If you waituntil you feel sick it is generallly too late. I actually start the night before we get on board with the Bonine. DH starts taking the ginger a couple of days before. We had 30 foot swells earlier this year...we were pretty much the only ones who were not sick!

Just a gentle word of warning to all you that may be seasick pirates:

If you use the patch, make sure you do not touch the surface of the patch with your fingers, and always wash your hands thoroughly after applying it to your person. The medication can produce severe reactions (in your eyes) if you rub your eyes after applying the patch.

I will going out and buying some bonine for the cruise. Thanks to all for the advice! Do kids get motion sickness sailing? (Liam's 3) I've read about the fish extenders, I'll have to put one together (glue)hA! I don't sew! Unfortunately I won't be able to visit Disney land Sunday, we live in St.Joseph, Michigan. It does sound like alot of fun though! Another question I have is formal night in just one of the restaurants, or all the restaurants on the ship? I always take meclezine for seasickness. I take my first pill with my welcome aboard lunch buffet.

I am 90% sure my husband is going to dive through this company. (He likes to check out the companies on his own scuba boards and if they pass he'll be using them.) I liked this idea since he will be near by, I don't have to go and the beach sounds great. It is right by Coral World too. A taxi is only $9 per person to that area too.

A hint for all of you that take bonine. Go to the pharmacy and ask for meclazine. You can get it sooooo much cheaper. I mean much cheaper. I get a bottle of 100 for 4.88 at Target. Bonine is just a brand name and is much more expensive. For some reason they keep Bonine on the shelves and meclazine behind the counter.

HiYaPal : Thanks! He was fine. He had to repel(sp) down a cliff to get the guy trapped. Then lower him down to a boat waiting below. The boat then took him to a waiting copter to take him to the hospital.

Motion sickness for kids: http://herbsforkids.com/product.asp?productid=366 Is a GREAT product for young kids! We used it on the 3,5,6, and 10 year old with us in Feb. It's well worth the cost and they had no problems with it. We started them on it about a week before the cruise. I also use the ginger root. I start it about a week before. In Feb I didn't think I needed it, so I didn't take it before hand. I could tell very soon into the cruise that I did need it. It took it about 20 minutes or so to settle my stomach down.


Fish Finder gifts: I think I'm just going to come up with one per stateroom.



On a personal note: My friend at the Home Land Security Office came through for me. He's arranged for me to meet with a TSA supervisor at the airports and to help get me through all of that. I've sent him all of my papers and he was going to fax it on to them. That way I shouldn't have any hassle getting through the airport!!
