We are used to eating late at home but curious how food/service might be.

What would our chances be of seeing 10:00 Wishes from the restaurant?

This would be last Saturday in Aug

Just did this a few weeks ago and it was wonderful. I was worried ahead of time too, but we had tasty food, awesome serive and yes, we saw wishes! We had no problem at all. It may have even been better because it was not crowded in there at all.

:cool1: You just made my day. Hopefully our experience will be as great as your experience was. This will be a first time dinner for us at Ohana so we have nothing to compare it to.

We got this time slot, too. I usually like to eat about 7. So I guess we will see how it goes.

I would make sure that I get there a little early, so you they get you seated before Wishes. I have found that ADR's later than we normally eat work at WDW. We are usually going all day, so when 6 rolls around, we aren't really ready to eat....our lunches end up being later and between getting snacks, etc.....I definitely try to get 7 or later.

we had a 9:55 last week and it was great! i was nervous as well as i prefer to eat there at 5pm when they open. everything was great, fresh and we never felt rushed to leave! enjoy!!

ANY time you can get 'Ohana is a great time! :)
I'm sure it will be wonderful. We've had a late ADR before too, and have had a wonderful meal...too bad one of our boys fell asleep though!

We had a 9:30 there in December, and I was a little worried too. It was GREAT! The food was wonderful, the service was awesome! DS is kind of picky and wasn't eating much, they brought him mac and cheese and a couple other things, and (with my permission) ice cream with sprinkles. All on the house. So nice! :)

We love Ohana and anytime you can get it is great as far as food and service. Although we had a late 9:20 adr our first visit as a family and our little ones were 8 months and 2 years old. It was WAY too late for them even with multiple naps. We were travelling with a group and that was the adr that they could get for the group so we went. I will never do that again to our family. I agree that a little later than a normal supper is good as your day is kind of all over the place. I found that 6:30-7pm is the best time for us. If you have older children you will be fine, if you have young ones the meal will be great but the experience on the whole may not be exactly what you were hoping for after a long day!
I hope you have a great trip!

I too just booked the 9:40pm slot for end of August because I was worried we wouldn't be able to get anything else and we really wanted to try Ohana this time. Our kids will be 10 and 3 1/2 but they have no problem staying up late, we'll just take a nice long break mid-day from the park that day and we should be fine.
I plan on checking back if something earlier does open up.

Yeah, I am going to have to take a nap, so this doesn't happen to ME. :rotfl:

I usually go when it first opens.

I only do this because at Disney I tend to goto bed pretty early around 10-11 and wake up early.

Eating late isn't too good for the digestive system and a HUGE meal at Ohanas can ruin your day the next day by eating that late.

I lucked into a 7:00 ADR on Saturday nite 8/27 so I snagged it. While 9:40 on Sunday would have worked .. this will be much better (hopefully).
