I noticed that several people have started asking for a FE master list. Since there are 4 cruise meet threads I am starting this in hopes of keeping all of the FE info for our cruise in one place.

This sounds like SO much fun - we didn't do it on our first Disney cruise and I can't wait to surprise the girls with this! Question though - what are some ideas for the gifts for the FEs? An do most people make their fish extender or buy it? How long etc should it be?? Thanks so much for any info!

Just wondering is there a cut off date for the FE 'enrollment'. Just wanted to have an idea sometime before the cruise how many FE gifts to make

Hi everyone!

I haven't joined in on the meet thread(s) yet, but I just got the "but MOoooOOOmMm" thing from my boys and I guess I need to toss our name into the list for the FE exchange. We have sailed the Wonder before, but this will be our first trip on the Dream. We've been booked for months and I had no idea my kids were expecting to do the fish extenders again until this morning. My son asked when we would start shopping for gift bags. "What gift bags?" "For the cruise." "Oh, I wasn't planning on doing that this trip." "But Moooooommmm! It is so much fun!" Well, yeah it is. I was just being lazy. I guess I will be lazy no more.

I didn't make mine. I am extremely craft challenged. I bought mine on eBay for like $30 or so. There are patterns out there if you google "fish extender pattern" you will get the links to the ideas on how to make them listed here on the DIS. Or you can cheat like I did and go to eBay and search for "fish extender". There are at least 2 sellers there that will custom make them, your material choice and personalized and all that. It was totally worth the money to me, but I can't sew a stitch.

Gift Ideas for adults: Hand sanitizers, pocket sewing kits, travel sized toiletries, inexpensive charms or keychains, highlighters or pens to make notes on the daily Navigators... there are more but that's off the top of my head

Gift Ideas for kids: snacks (fruit gummies, lollipops, etc), sand toys (for Castaway Cay), stickers, small toys (one piece and no choking hazards for the really young ones), crayons, coloring books, activity books, puzzles... again, there are more but that should get you started



Speaking of snacks... along with my request for favorite characters, could anyone with any allergies or food sensitivities or concerns please list them? I don't want to put peanuts anywhere near someone who has allergies or give lollipops to a kid that doesn't need the sugar or whatever. I just want to make sure everything is fun, fun, FUN!

That really depends on what you want to do. Some people make up a little "gift bag" and drop it in once. Some people put something in each day. In my experience, most people just do it once per cruise. With a bunch of people in the exchange, you still wind up getting something every day because it is rare for everyone to do it at the same time.

Also, some put a gift tag on it so you know who it is from. Some let it be totally anonymous.
